This politically organised group with support of some conservatives are fund raising at levels that even go fund me has had to say wait a minute here
the USA has the same mandate in place meaning trudeau dropping canadas would change nothimg. They dont mention that critical fact
the speed and depth of the radicilzation should be a wake up to trumpism on our soil and if that doesnt thren the call of a supporter to turn the truck rally into canadas Jan 6th should wake evryone up

Very few people can get.tested
To be tested at a site that counts you need to be one of the following
- immune compromised
- pregnant
- unvaxxed
- ill enough to require acute care for symptoms
Thats it - If you don't fit into the above 4 groups they won't pcr test you.
Rapid testing positives are not added to the totals. They in my opnion want the optics of saying less than a 100 positives etc ... to create the narrative that covid is coming to an end
Atleast they are reporting hospital numbers which are at record levels and I assume icu numbers dropped.by 1 because so many died over the weekend
It's been more than a year since anyone in long term care has been transfered to a.hospital for covid. So none of those hispotal numbers are ltc people
I don't agree with how the ndp and Henry have steered this and worry people will take their foot off the pedal to coast being lulled into a false sense that these lower positive numbers means we don't need to continue to the finish line

This is stupid. Dr Henry ended the pandemic phase for fully vaxxed on Friday. They no longer have any isolation requirements and can work sick if they feel up to it. Heck fully vaxxed can’t get tested anymore unless they are pregnant , immune compromised or hospitalized
with new testing rules we will be under 100 reported cases by mid week.
NHL players shouldn’t be held to stricter covid rules than any other worker in BC.
Players who are asymptotic and fully vaxxed are not blocked from playing by the government now …. Other than when crossing the border…….
with that in mind we don’t know but I hope none of our players testing positive have any symptoms

It was the unions that unelected the ndp when Gordo took over. I remember at the fed convention people refusing to applaud and many walking out with the ndp spoke
Union brass may toe the line but I'm seeing amot of similarities to 2001 surfacing now with rank and file members very upset
The only difference is this go around everyone is aware of how much damage.gordo and Christie did and if falcon or other former guard become liberal leaders the ndp will cruise to another majority
If the socreds hadn't taken over the BC libs things may be different and I do agree we need a legitimate third party that could challenge to govern ( greens are not that third party as they cap out to low in voter support )
After 16 years of austerity bargaining this round is going to be brutal as many are so far behind that they have nothing to lose by striking and everything to gain

I'm not sure if they simply gave up trying or if they had pre planned that at s certain point they would go for broke without any pre warning so that no one had time to try to stop them.
In both events the anti vax community has rightfully so claimed victory.
I don't regret getting triple vaxxed but now.completly understand those that say what's the point.
I wish they would just end every single.measure immediately and then those that wish could simply stay home for a few weeks to let the virus run the purge as it spreads freely. Then atleast we know every infected person will be a breakthrough case which is weaker
That and after 2 weeks we could get back to normal surgeries and stop canceling for unvaxxed filling beds.....
If social distancing and safety has now ended in hospitals it is clear we have been moved to endemic. I believe we are either the first or one of the first places on earth to lift all.saftey measures other than masking ( no more testing or isolation requirements and open hospital mixing of patients)
The USA may be ahead on masking bring lifted and crowd limits.but I don't think anyone has lifted all the safety layers for positive cases like BC has.
Kenney Ford and Wall will follow next week and at that point even national mandates for travel or truckers are ridiculous

Multi patient rooms are not set up for the ventilation needed to protect someone
It really seems like the plan is to max infect people quickly to bring an end to this

Imagine your loved one being forced exposed to covid to gamble they will be ok while they battle what got them there as well
I would refuse and take my loved one to an American hospital and pay before allowing this for them

That's a serious conversation that should have happened before this full lifting. New tax ? Msp premiums again ? If we are going to move to endemic today then it's irresponsible for the NDP to not have a plan in place that ensures ho person has their surgery canceled again as a result of unvaxed and that the financial cost isn't just forced to be absorbed by hospitals. Hospitals need to keep increased budgets to cover this and taxpayers deserve to know what we are giving up to pay for it or what tax is coming
Taxpayers understood when it was a pandemic ..... should have been planned months ago and announced at the same time

The 5 days is pretty much moot now. Most private employers will say the same as a cold ..take a Tylenol and some halls and get in to work. If your too sick to work at all you need to go to a doctor. And of course doctors will not be able to help with only mild symptoms

just mask mandates and healthcare vax requirements can be defended now.
I think it was the suddness of the suprise change with no warning caught people off guard. But ya if I am forced to share personal space at work or in public with covid postive people effective immiediaty then I see no value to any mandates other than masking in large publiic settings

Exactly...... if a covid positive person is allowed to at work with me or sitting beside me at an event then what does it matter if they are vaxxed or not ?
I think we are the first province to end isolation requirements for covid positive fully vaxxed so things like vax passports have zero purpose and same with travel requirements for negative tests for fully vaxxed
Demko and Miller should be permitted to play tonight if they want as it's clearly permitted under the new regs

BC has now lifted minimum isolation requirements fir fully vaxxed but mild symptoms to only until the person feels well enough and then rhey can return to full activities
Given that all players on the nucks are fully vaxxed if the player feels up to it why can't they play noe ?

During Dr Henry's press conference now a reporter just asked " the sudden move to lift isolation requirements for vaxxed does mean we are now endemic - why the sudden shift'
Dr Henry said we are not endemic just yet but moving that way.
I've supported her all along but not on this. The exact second covid positive people were greenighted to not isolate ( vaxxed ) that is the definition of endemic. As soon as its legalized that covid positive people are permitted around us and like a common cold that's just a risk of being around people ..... its endemic
I disagree with this move at this time and BCs return to "pretty please do the right thing" is pandering to the vocal minority
I'm all for easing restrictions but on the singular issue of now forcing people to qcceept known covid positive people in our workspaces and public space is the wrong move

BC has now followed rhe UK and removed minimum isolation rules for adults and kids with mild symptoms and FULLY VAXXED
Healthy adults and kids with mild symptoms AND FULLY VAXXED re not suggested to be tested and can return to full activities when they feel well enough to do so. Only caveat is to avoid high risk situations such as long term care
So this means Miller and demko should be able to play even of contagious so long as they are up to it as they are fully vaxxed
Employers can also force covid positive staff to work to perform light duties if the employee is well enough to do anything
Kinda makes BC's new 5 paid sick days a joke and a waste of time now
This is the let er rip method and I strongly suggest anyone not vaccinated di so ASAP as contracting covid is now 100% certainty for every person ( unless your immune )
Also vaccine passports and mandates make zero sense and have no purpose

I have nothing but respect for truckers but believe an alt right group is steering their issue into something to fit their political agenda. As the USA has the same mandate they are basically high jacking an issue for thier real purpose .... anti Trudeau
If this was actually about the vaccine they would also have protested in front of the USA embassy as well
