I was in Seattle this weekend and noticed all the Seahawks plates. I think it’s a brilliant idea. I would for sure get a nucks plate. Though my park plates safe pretty tight.

It surprises me how many people are defending LE. I understand we have no control over the situation; but it’s hard to make a compelling argument he provides any value to the team.
You think his 6 million hit doesn’t matter? We’re already eating the luongo cap. 6m player on the fourth line on top of that doesn’t seem like the recipe for success.
LE is nothing but a burden in my eyes.

I think the thing that bothered me the most ever since I can remember was that sure we might lose some games, but seeing our team get physically dominated was hard to see. Seeing our stars get run at (Henrik, Daniel, last year Petey), solely because teams knew we didn't have much pushback was hard to watch. I feel like this year is going to be really exciting not only due to the fact that our stars are a year matured, but also because we now have truculence throughout our lineup to not only survive the season, but hopefully one day flourish in the playoffs. I can't wait for the season to start, and I have a gap year from medical school so I will be watching EVERY game after a long 4 years .
Good timing for the gap in school haha!

Rogers owns SN, rogers own the leafs. It’s unfortunate but hey, that’s smart business. Plus they are the most popular team in Canada other than maybe MTL. They’re playing to their audience. That’s good for ratings.

There was a quote earlier in the thread from Ferland who said that both himself and Tyler Myers were impressed with Travis Green and that he made the difference compared to other teams....
The culture of the canucks changed a lot in the last year. You could even tell with the media during games. As soon as Pettersson showed up the hate seemed to disappear. It’s hard to exactly say but I’d imagine having him on the team is playing a major role in people wanting to play here.

The Vancouver Canucks are closing in on a contract with free agent winger Micheal Ferland, reports Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Ferland is one of the most high-profile names remaining.

This is pretty awesome news. It’s going to be an exciting start to the season this year!

maybe not, as you could get close to similar production out of Boeser and spend elsewhere like on better defence.
But this feels like a big mistake to me on Winnipeg's part. Yes Laine has been lazy at times, but the kids got an elite scoring talent. You need to hang on to elite if you're lucky enough to draft it.
I couldn’t agree more. He’s generational talent. It would be a massive fumble that they would feel for years.

33. The Oilers’ future is about as bright as fossil fuels.

Very few people still having this debate. He’s earned bonafide number 1 status. Guys a stud. As mentioned tonight after the game on CBC. Guys morphing into a leader. Team plays hard in front of this guy.

Rumour is that the 911 lines are jammed with people phoning in asking when the power is going to be back on, reporting theirs is out, and asking silly questions like: should I pour my milk out now?
Could you imagine Vancouver if something that was actually bad happened bahahah! Glad I'm in Abbotsford I'd be on the highway out of town so damn fast.

The wind tore down a bunch of fences holding the animals in at the Vancouver zoo. Of the animals roaming around were apparently Grizzlies.

He must have flown from STL to LA to pick up Gaborik.

Real life has a nice fist waiting to punch you in the face with. Go get a job, don't whine about the pay, and earn a position somewhere. School doesn't mean you're good at anything. Don't get a 1500$ a month place before you get a job.

The hardest part of being a canucks fan is having to associate myself with canucks fans. Sometimes i wish i wasn't so addicted to this team.

Goalies have it pretty good actually. They aren't getting stapled to the boards every shift like Defencemen.
It's completely different taking an expected hit into the boards on your feet that you're prepared for. D get injured a lot too. Goalies are always in odd vulnerable positions and getting constantly ran over out of the blue completely unexpected. They are supposed to not get hit.
-
Yea I have no clue what the injury is, but goalies tend to be the softest of the bunch. If he tore his mcl or something then yea that makes sense. I just wonder why they haven't told us the extent of the injury yet
Well, they don't tend to do that in the NHL playoffs. They just don't share these things. Goalies aren't protected, are vulnerable, and have to be able to move a lot more than normal players.
-
What exactly is Price's injury. If it's just a "sore leg" that's pretty weak. Hockey players have to play through that sort of thing. Bergeron played with a punctured lung
Did you see the play? Looks to be quite a serious injury. I think it's a little late to question price's determination.

Tokarski with the start tonight. This is a bold move, i hope it works.

Say what you want about the kings. Nothing satisfies me more than to watch the biggest diving whining losers in the entire league lose. The sharks make the bruins look like poster boys. They can go eff themselves.

Hey dallas, perry may suck, but not as bad as the dallas stars...
-
I want to laugh at Roy but I am scared he is disabled... I saw Higgins laughing his balls off. Can somebody confirm if he is disabled now? Couldn't find anything on google or wiki...
-
Essentially, you are the fans who may very well keep this team from ever really rebuilding... congrats!
Have another drink buddy.
