  1. If he was 2-3 inches taller, he would have gone in the top 5 - which is unfortunate because he wouldn't be our prospect then. So we gotta give to take - fortunate to have landed his level of skills at #23 due to his size which can be overcome.

Exactly! Some people don't seem to realize the talent we have, and only focus in on his size. A guy this talented will work his way into any line-up regardless of his size.

  2. Just finished Schroeder's highlights for this season. Enjoy.

    Any questions, just ask.

I noticed this when he first joined the Moose, but he scores a lot of his goals from the slot. Seems to be his default setting, which is good. Also plays the half boards on the powerplay.

Good speed, and offensive ability. If the guy was 2 or 3 inches taller everyone would be talking about what a great prospect we have, not his size. Which is unfortunate because he is really a great prospect.

  3. I would like to see Schroeder on the 2nd line in Kesler's spot to start the season

I would like to see Schroeder centre both Kesler and Booth once he does comes back. I think easing Kes back into game-play on the wing would be better than throwing him into +20 minutes a game...again...

  4. another underwhelming year.... sigh...... I heard a lot of great things about this kid when he got drafted. How he is a great skater, highly skilled , highly offensive, very solid defensively, he has grit, not afraid to lay the body, this is technically his 3rd pro season, quite underwhelming actually. OH well, stats doesn't equal to NHL career.

Someone's jumping on the 'Bust Bandwagon' early. <_<

  5. Anybody get to watch the game?

Pumped that Jordan got 2 goal in his opener!...but wanted to see how he looked on the ice otherwise.

He looked good. The Moose eased him into the game as he only had 2 shifts in the first 10-15 minutes. But it was much like COHO's first game, and it won't be a while till he plays top 6 minutes. He wasn't afraid to hit, but sometimes went against guys twice his size (and shrugged him off). His second goal was a good one. Pushed himself off the defender to give himself room to shoot. The defender was also twice his size. Sometimes he looked a little lost but that will change with exposure. He looks good, and speed doesn't seem to be a factor.

I can't wait to see him in a Canucks uni :frantic:

  6. There was a WHOLE lot of negativity at the beginning of the season (moreso that usual) because of hodgson not making the team and the canucks getting off to a slow start. I'm confident that tainted peoples opinions at that time. It's hilarious to call them out now though. What were they thinking?

Also, here are the expanded stats for the 2 canucks prospects and the former first round question mark.

    Name GP G A Pts +/-

    Jordan Schroeder 26 7 16 23 +1

    Taylor Matson 19 2 3 5 +5

    Patrick White 28 7 6 13 -4

wow White is -4? I know i don't know the whole story but isn't he suppose to be a 2 way forward? Man... i love Ehrhoffwub.gif
