You posters above are all doom and gloom... it wouldn't matter what Gillis does or doesn't do you'll still be... doom and gloom. Canucks may not be winning right now but they're playing a better brand of hockey and playing with some emotion. They're just getting comfortable with their new system - Give it a chance!

Tanev is a third pairing d-man on this team and takes too much abuse from opposing teams. I often wonder how he gets back up after some of those hits he takes but he does (but for how long?). Don't get me wrong, he's young, one of our own guys and shows some potential to be a top 4 d-man but... He's not Hamhuis, Beiska, Edler or Garrison. Yes, he's a steady 3rd pairing d-man that can make a nice outlet pass for sure but at what cost? It should be at a 3rd pairing d-man wage. So then, what's he worth... a 3rd pairing d-man wage I say, so let MG and LG play hardball as 3rd pairing d-man aren't that hard to find.

If we find/trade for a power forward then... Burrows is the answer for either line 1 or line 1a.
