    This thread made me lol so I logged back in xD 

     

    I don't like how Petey played the franchise to get a couple more million... Not a good reflection on character... Especially considering the franchise being a mecca for Swedish hockey. 

     

    I just don't feel like he respects the icons that came before him. Ever since I started watching hockey a swede led the Canucks in goals. 

     

    Let's be real. If Nazzy and the Twins debuted in the 2020 version of the NHL they would light up right away too. 

     

    If I was him I'd come out and say "it's an honour to sign in the mecca of Swedish hockey. I will be using 5 million dollars on erecting 3 gold statues around town. One of Markus, one Daniel and one Henrik. 

     

    Furthermore, I will be erecting bronze statues of Edler, Mattias, Grandin.

     

    To cap it off I bought JT Miller's dad a 10 mill mansion for providing the necessary stuff to create his son who got me my contract"

    Every iconic moment @ 800 Griffiths way started the same for over 2 decades... With Mark donnelly signing our glorious nation's anthem. 

     

    Every Luongo moment started with Mark signing and Luongo doing his cross before putting his helmet on.

    Honesty I can't get enough of late 90s early 2000s WWF clips. Love watching the 10 minute ones on YouTube. Those were the glory days! Such quality television which my mom would stop me from watching since I was a kid and it wasn't all at appropriate hahaha 

     

    Also gotta say... this place seems a lot more positive now. Some good laughs and no anti Benning trolls xD

    Needed to get this off my chest. The Canucks are the only legitimate Stanley cup champions of 2004.

     

    Bertuzzi should have played in the playoffs. Moore should have been arrested for assaulting Naslund. Markus had a concussion which went missed at the time... They said he had a shoulder injury...

    I got a 1 week sussy when I went off in the fire Benning banner thread

     

    The thread itself should have been locked immediately. It was being hateful towards Lord Jim Benning The Greatest Drafter in the history of all sports. 

    **(only pro GM in ALL sports to draft Rookie MVP/Runner up 3 years in a row) 

    Other GMs who have accomplished this 2 years in a row BUT all had top 3 picks. Benning had 0 lottery picks and snagged his FRANCHISE players with 23rd, 7th and 5th overall picks. 

     

     

    Anyways I digress... The thread was a direct attack on a current employee(against forum rules) and it was gutless. OP should have had the 7 day ban. Not me. 

     

    I was tired of always playing the character who comes on here and defends our players against trolls that are just spreading negativity. 

     

    Always thought I had to come on here and spread positivity... Better to do that in my own real life than on here (I finally realized) 

     

    I did it with countering trolls over Luongo for over 5 years it seemed... Edler... Bieksa (after his 2 freak injuries)... Morrison... Dale Weise Beauty... 

     

    I knew if I stayed on here it would just transition to using my energy countering Benning trolls and I just didn't have the capacity 

     

    On top of that... I was spending a lot of time on here consistently for over a decade and  Felt like I had enough seniority and good reputation that my ban should have been 30 minutes, not 7 days. Felt quite disrespected and betrayed as a valuable member. Benning hatred was fueling the forum 

     

    I physically couldn't press "acknowledge" after the 7 day sussy was over. It said I "must press acknowledge to my ban to continue"...
