Guy is a human highlight reel. Even if he doesn't become a 1st line winger, he's gonna be a highly entertaining player. That has value in and of itself.

I pray for Virtanen. Guy has some injury problems and if these injuries continue the idiotic, moronic imbeciles of this city will be ragging on him constantly if Desjardins doesn't give him any opportunity, and he doesn't immediately produce points in the NHL. It could be worse than what we're seeing with Kassian. These people don't realize that some players take a while to adjust both physically and mentally to the NHL.

He can be a UFA when he's 26 if he takes a 1 year deal after his current contract is finished.

The answer is you don't see players like that very often. His skills are highly translatable to the NHL.

Torres simply doesn't have the offensive skill that Virtanen has. His hands are much worse, his shot is worse, he's not as fast, and he's not as dynamic. Now about the size thing. He's only 18, he has a lot of room to grow more muscle. Maybe even grow taller. His dad looks like he's 6'3 or 6'4 and a lot of people grow between 18-21 so he could grow taller. Might be a bit of a long shot though.

That's hilarious. I had Ehlers rated slightly better than Virtanen but I warmed up to the guy that's the fastest player in the draft, has a lazer beam of a shot, has excellent hands, and will be throwing devasting checks on Flames and Oilers for the next 10 plus years.

If he makes the Canucks he won't be on the team. But I could see him getting sent back to the WHL for 1 more year.

I already knew what that link was going to be before I even clicked it. Yeah Virtanen plays kind of like Raffi Torres sometimes. Except he has much better hands. And a much better shot. And he's much faster. And he's bigger. And he's smarter. Nice try though.

Virtanen has much better offensive tools than Kesler. But they are completely different players.

I thought he had an ok game today. Better than last game. Had some chances, and threw some heavy hits. Only got like 9 or 10 mins of icetime I think.

Not a big deal. Just get him away from Gauthier. That is all I ask for. Crouse-Point/Petan-Virtanen is a solid line.
