Two Florida teams? The trouble with a lot of US markets is hockey is way down the list of fan support. They might have a hard core group of hockey fans, but it is a very small number, as evidenced by TV viewership.
Lol idk why but always kind of liked them
Tampa due to Marty St.Louis being my favorite player
And the Cats I would always say that they will be my retirement team

I think it may be where you are brought up. I grew up in the East coast so the eastern teams are fun for me to watch.
Teams like Arizona, San Jose, Dallas, St. Louise, Minnesota I wouldn't lose sleep over if i miss them in town.
While the Eastern times it's only Columbus, Carolina and Philly.

I will have to go with his career points. To put it in perspective. If a player joined at 18 and retired at 40 he would need to average 130 points a season. Only 8 players in NHL history had multi 130 point seasons

If he does decide to move on I would think Montreal would be on the top of his list. It was his childhood team and he can provide mentorship to a young and upcoming roster

Sounds like Lindholm and Backlund are on their way out after their contract ends in 2024. Could be an interesting off season if they decide to shuffle the deck and sell high on them. Let's be honest they will grasp on to the excuse that the only reason why they missed the playoffs is due to losing so many games in OT
-
Let the flames win so they can get swept in the first round. The team is so bad this year, that I even made a drinking game to finish my drink if Marky let's in one of the first 3 shots (pop of course).... Hard mode: take a sip when UberDough makes a behind the back pass to nobody.

I voted Toronto just due to the fact that if the Leafs win, the media will be pushing headlines for the next 10 years themed "Are the Leafs the best team ever assembled in NHL history".
But I lose interest until the finals once the Canadian teams are knocked out. So I kinda want them to survive a round for once.

Saw him play the 2 games in Calgary and I agree with the assessments. His skating was quite average for the AHL level and didn't really notice him too much. He's only 20 and tons of time to develop. Let him cook in the AHL for 2-3 years

I would like to see a counselor become mandatory for all CHL teams to crack down on this nonsense.
These players are basically given keys to the city/ celebrity treatment at ages 15-21 with minimal adult guidance. Coach them on consent, post hockey scholarships, drugs/alcohol, general life skills and be able to confidentiality report any team issues.

What a waste of an opportunity. He had the chance to figure out his game without media pressure in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I honestly thought he would claw his way back into a bottom 6 role in 2-3 years.

The 15 represents the word “is” in the phrase Bruce there it is. Not sure if 15 has any significance to him.
Haha I was just having fun with it since I could totally see someone on Twitter saying it

IS Bruce's favorite number 15 or something? I thought 21 would be more relevant since that was the year that he started coaching for the Nucks
It's also too bad that the name was too long to include "there it is"
/S
But honestly a great gesture and Bruce seems like such a humble guy

It's for all of the mowing the lawn in February pictures that you guys sent to people outside of BC. - Frozen Calgarian here
But media likes to beat teams when they're down and hype up teams that are winning. Whatever generates the most clicks
Matthews scores 3 goals: "Is Matthews better than Gretzky?"
Canucks/Sens lose 3 in a row: "Why bother icing a team? Tank hard for Bedard instead"

A pretty nothing trade. But glad to see Weatherby who played a gritty game was traded out of our AHL division for an undersized winger
-
I felt the 2 teams were pretty even for most of the game. 1 bad defensive breakdown caused the first goal and an unfortunate stumble by Silovs for the 2nd. Fingers crossed that this will be a future playoff match up
I am impressed by Karlsson, always dangerous and some edge to him. He looks way bigger than listed

I would just add a goalie interference/high stick if the goalie gets hit by the blade negating the goal. That way only the ones that know they can pull it off attempt it
There's probably only a 5% chance successfully pulling off this move during game speed. If players want to waste their time during the entire practice that's on them

I am totally blaming Ryp for asking for too many belly rubs and distracting the players

Only 4 tickets left for the Coachella Valley Firebirds (Kraken) inaugural home opener Dec 18 and they are priced at $564 each. Arena holds 9918 for hockey (I won't be going)
They only have 12 left for their second game 2 days later, at $126. They get cheaper in mid January, at between $35 to $48 for upper tier seats. Unfortunately Abby won't play them again this season
San Diego and Ontario outdraw Abbotsford - and significantly outdraw Utica ......... here's the attendance figures from last season:
http://www.leaguestat.com/ahl/ahl/en/media/?format=HTML&step=4&sub=15&season_id=73
Thanks for the link I was curious to see the attendance records since I snagged seasons for the Wranglers (STH price broke even with going to the 6 Canucks games this year). It will be interesting to see the attendance when the Nucks and Condors play since the arena has been pretty empty so far. 4th worst in the league

I could see a decent hockey trade with the Flames at TDL if we can stomach sending him over the mountains.
BB 50% retain for 2/3 rd pick Kylington and Kuznetsov. Cond 1st? If Kylington hangs them up?
Why: Kylinton has some offensive potential at 31 points but requires a stay at home D. I think he is the odd man out once he returns from personal leave. Kuznetsov is a solid 6'4 D former 2nd rounder. Sadly both are LHD.
Flames: they need a trigger man and a top 6 to shore up their roster. They keep losing despite outshooting their opponents. They are all in for the next 3 years and I see them in the market this TDL
-
I am pretty sure the CDC would implode due to outrage if we traded our 1st round pick unless it's for someone that has a last name that starts with Mc/Mac.....Macdermid of course to address our toughness issues

Nice to see Darth Vlader have some contract security. He has been solid for the Flames and playing him more frequently should help Marky with the workload since he need to play more of a 45-50 game role to be rested up for playoffs.
As a Canucks/hockey fan in Cowtown - Yes, whenever he makes a big save they play the Vader theme song during the replays

I have no problem when asked to use my debit card at small mom and pop shops that don't have the supply chain like the major companies have. Most businesses already have the CC charge accounted for in their price analysis so it sounds like price gouging to me when inflation has already been up ~8%.
I think it may be time to date stamp an envelope paying for my expenses in dimes
I think next year we get the best Boeser

It reminds me of sitting beside Josh Morrisseys mom during a game and how he bounced back after losing his father to become one of the top defenceman this year.
We will be cheering you on Brock!!
