the issue I have with the sign Miller crowd is that they completely ignore that fact that JT may very well, even likely, doesn't want to continue his career in Van. In which case, you get what you can for him, so the return might not really be in control of the management team. They may have to be happy with whatever they can get.
Not moving him at the deadline was a mistake
The rumoured return was Lundkvist Chytil and a 1st. I’d lose my sh*t if we got 3 projects for JT.
would you be ok with that return?

JT Miller
Jack Rathbone
15 OA
for
Brandt Clarke
Alex Turcotte
Helge Grans
19 OA
Draft Lian Bichsel at #19 if available.A bunch of magic beans, but potentially a huge overhaul to the D-corps.
I’d rather just do something like this.
Miller + 15th for Dobson.
no guessing games here we get a legit young RD not a bunch of magic beans

What are his leadership qualities? You know him personally? There's a difference between leadership and loudership.
You don’t watch the games? He leads by example and is one of the few guys who plays with any emotion. Maybe watch some Canucks games before coming up with that ridiculous statement.

What are your thoughts on paying a 36 year old 9mill a season to get 60 points?
If Miller is still getting 60 pts a year at 36 with his leadership qualities that’s a win for us.

Anyone but geekie. That is not a hockey name at all. Most of my decisions on who to draft are based largely off name
Exactly we all knew Patrick White was going to bust just based off the name

We don't need a Debrusk, players like him are a dime a dozen.

Debrusk has turned his game around. Scored 25g, mostly playing as 3LW. Lysell is killing it with the Giants and is
highly rated prospect. He's 19yrs. Way too early to be making predictions for his career.
https://www.nhl.com/bruins/news/getting-to-know-fabian-lysell/c-325772154
"A player that has been recognized as one of the most dynamic, game-changing players in his draft class, Lysell is known widely for his skating ability and puck-handling skills.
Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney, along with Boston's scouting staff, have had Lysell on their radar for over two years leading into the draft.
"I think we do identify with the skill and the game-breaking ability," said Sweeney. "He's got speed, he can shoot the puck. We'll go down and watch him live at the U18's. You saw the pockets of high-end ability.
"Again, now there's details and things that all young players have to learn and assimilate with the North American style, but he has attributes that I think we identified the Boston Bruins need as much of as we possibly can. Scoring and skills are hard to find and Fabian has a lot of those attributes."
Debrusk is already 25 hasn't even eclipsed his second season in the NHL and has regressed. Not even close as a centrepiece for JT Miller
Lysell has about a 50% chance of making the NHL he's killing it in junior but so has nearly every first rounder. I have doubts that his game will translate at all. Prospects get way overhyped here.
Throw Carlo in there then we'll talk.
This isn't close to the value of a 90+ point centre who can play in all situations and is a leader.

I don’t think we’d be taking that huge of a step back though?
And we never win the lottery, so I think Bedard is a pipe dream.
IMO with Petey and Hughes taking another step forward, Garland being more comfortable and Brock’s likely resurgence it wouldn’t be that huge of a step back.
I’m just dreaming of a future where we draft a local franchise player and leads us to the cup. Kid is absolutely filthy.

What's the logic behind trading our first potentially franchise defenseman in club history? I'm all for moving Miller and Boeser but Hughes is a core player IMO and should not be moved.

That would be a great deal for us, but isn’t that return for Miller (2OA) causing us to take a big step back?
We would and at the perfect time too, local boy Bedard should go 1OA next year.

I don't think (Beecher) is enough for a Miller trade. I think the Canucks would want the 1st + Debrusk + Lysell
If Bergeron retires, they will jump all over a Miller trade.
That's a low first, and 2 project players, I'm not sold on Debrusk and Lysell likely does not pan out as a top 6 add to that GMJR's futility in the first round and I'm not liking that package AT ALL. I'd at least want Carlo in the package if we're dealing Miller

Yeah, Toews will be tougher for him to deal with than what he has so far. I think the deciding factor could be if either netminder gets hot.
Yup, he's also got to deal with a legit D with speed in Makar. While Smith has been good this postseason he is 40 years and can falter at any time.
Avs have better forwards defense and goalie.
Oilers also will have no answer for Makar on the backend.

Excited to see if McDavid can continue his historic playoff run, but I'd bet on the Avs winning.
I doubt it, he's due for some regression and is facing a Norris calibre D for the first time in the playoffs.
He's so far faced a Doughty-less Kings and a Tanev-less Flames for most of the series.
Mack has been quiet and is just warming up. Avs in 5.

I do not accept illegal actions including fraud and treatment of people.
Do you not accept Pat Kane then?
What about Matthews and indecent exposure. That’s illegal.
Todd Bertuzzi?
Ed Belfour?
Dany Heatley?
Dino Cicarelli?
like it or not hockey players are human and do sometimes commit illegal acts but it doesn’t take away from their career or skills.

Let me introduce you to a kool kid kalld Virtanen.
He’s an angel really…
If he were a 30 goal power forward I would gladly welcome him on the team. Even though he's a POS outside the rink, it's on ice performance that should really matter.

I've got zero problems with hockey players who play the game hard, even a little dirty, rats, pests etc. Love to add more to the roster in fact. And most of the best of those guys, are absolute gentlemen in person.
What I don't want, is the team adding a person, with a pretty clear history of being a bad person, lacking in character, who has repeatedly worn out his welcome and become a distraction to numerous teams. No thanks.
Nobody is disputing he knows how to play hockey well. Kane, the hockey player, isn't the issue.
I may be the minority here but honestly do not care about who they are off the ice. It’s the on ice performance that matters only.

Just because you don't seem to care- don't assume everybody doesn't care.
Let me ask you this. Assuming you’re a Blackhawks fan and Patrick Kane beat up the cab driver and then goes on to win a cup? Is that not still winning? And would you not celebrate the cup?
Or what about a guy like Pronger who’s celebrated across the league. He plays a bit dirty to say the least would you not want to win?
What about Stevens taking out Lindros or Kariya. Would New Jersey fans cry about cheating? Or put yourself in their shoes would you just not celebrate the cup? You should win at all costs imo you shouldn’t apologize for crossing the line a bit.

First game of the play offs-next year.
Draisaitl and McDavid are lined up together.
J.T. Miller spears McDavid off the face off- Mcdavid is injured and misses the remainder of the year.
At the same time Podz slashed Drais hand, breaking 3 fingers and Drais misses the rest of the play offs.
Canucks go on to win- all good in your view- cause cheating is fine?
I would be celebrating I don’t care how it gets done.
What about Boychuk breaking Raymond’s back or Ratboy injuring Salo. Or Duncan Keith taking out Daniel for the playoffs. Nobody gives a damn how you win.

Here's an idea for you:
Just tell people the Canucks won the cup last year, let them know you are ok with cheating; and thus decided to award the cup to your team.
No problem.
You make zero sense.
You think Boston cares they have Marchand?
You think the Avs care they have a POS like Kadri.
No. So why do you care about building a team full of nice guys.

A culture of getting along, playing honest, hard hockey.
Being a good citizen.
Realizing that cheating to win, is not winning- it's cheating.
A player, that plays like Kane, but is not Kane, would be a good find.
I rather win a damn cup than have a culture or getting along honest hard hockey or being a good citizen.
Whatever it takes.
It doesn’t matter if you cheat to win winning is winning

I’d be ok with K’andre Miller as the centrepiece as well. He was pretty impressive in the playoffs .
