The hit was the attempt to prevent it, if he tried using his stick he could have easily poked the puck into his own net. The hit came a fraction of a second after the puck crossed the line, had it not everyone would be saying great hit. I’m sorry, I see no suspendible offence.
charging elbow directly to head something leagues trying t get rid of in games

I did everything you mentioned Merrill can eat PK mins. I actually see OJ, Bones and Merrill splitting games around 50-60 each unless one breaks out or there are long term injuries.
Granlund and Coleman are both 29 years old those terms I would argue are expectable as they are both getting their last big contracts this season.
no thanks they are to old id rather give youth like gadovich lind a chance not signing 28-29 yr olds for 4 yrs thats like more crappy roussel beagle ferland contracts that hurt us hard pass
like if we didnt have eriksson myers beagle baertchi roussel sutter benn holtby on team last yr wed have had 32 mill extra to go after alex pietrangelo and 2-3 other elite ufas not the garbage we signed

These rigged games used to get my goat..but no more.
Doesn't matter where they stash JB's pick, he always nabs the glittering gem. I picture sneaky Bettman grinding his teeth over it too.
Wouldn't it be sweeet if NH & VP BOTH wound up the best players from the 2019 class?! Realize highhhhly unlikely, but feel this is the karmic kickin'd'ass the petty lil'boys club, known as NHL Hindquarters royally deserve.
hoglander and podkolzin def will be in top 5 players that draft hoglander trains so hard at gym had great first season and pod would have been top 3 pick if not for khl contract plus hes played versus men since he was 17 we are gonna suprise teams next yr if petey healthy watch boeser petey hughes hog and pod and rathbone and juolevi and demko start dominating league next yr we just need to get lucky and draft clarke and sign or trade for a good 3rd line center fingers crossed

He just signed a contract in the SHL for next season with Skelleftea. My gut says he'll be signed next Summer (if not, we'll lose his rights and I don't the Canucks want to see that happen after trading Dahlen for him). I do agree, I'm surprised he didn't sign with the Canucks this summer. But a year in the SHL before jumping over to North America isn't a bad idea. Karlsson has had a nice rise since the Canucks acquired his rights and dominated the Allesvensken over the last two years and as a C prospect I hope he can make strides to be an NHLer one day. Our C prospect depth is weak and, as it stands, I think he's gotta be the 2nd or 3rd ranked C prospect in our system.
his contract has a out clause for canucks

Because they don't want to acknowledge at least Benning has the draft part correctly. It's the player management, and pro scouting that's an issue.
Which I say is a fair critique. But not worth the hatred that gets heaped on him.
ya agreed i hope benning has a few trades lined up soo we do much better next yr first of all he needs to fire briwn and baumer otherwise we might be in on top 5 pick next yr again

why wouldnt we want our farm team to win calder cup means our prospects are doing good. Bennings drafting is crazy good gillis got us hodgson hutton and horvat meanwhile we get kids in 5th 6th 7th rounds that are legit pushing for nhl talent. benning has drafted petey hoglander boeser hughes demko virtanen mccann forsling gaudette tryamkin brisebois rathbone juolevi lind gadovich and soon to be podkolzin plus malone mcdonagn plasek utunen jasek zlodeyev truscott persson jurmo developing

But asset management!
ya we will see i feel like benning is gonna look at oel trade this summer i cant see the same team playing in fall
edler probably walks away unless he wants 900k a yr otherwise he plays elsewhere left side is locked up unless we trade for oel then i can see juolevi schmidt being traded for prospects or picks or a third line c jenner from blue jackets or konecny flyers coukd be ok targets
drafting best right dman available as well
hughes hamonic
oel
rathbone myers
edler
would be decent

The team would be selling low. That would be an example of poor management (unless the trading partner is completely hornswoggled) if this rumour were true.
we got him for a third because vegas had crazy cap problem pretty sure we can get a late 1st for the guy

Ovi has already said he only wants to play for Washington and Moscow for his career
Also Arizona laughs and hangs up at that weak proposal.
depends if ownership of coyotes doesnt wanna go bankrupt they loosing 20 mill every yr before covid even more now oel is owed 42 mill thats alot of money wander if taking eriksson beagle roussel ferland cap of 15.5 mill but ferland on ltir rest of contract helps them get to cap floor but only owe 13.5 mill resl money next yr and 3.5 i finall yr of ferlands deal canucks take 42mill of oel contract
-
if we manage to win lotto and benning pulls a oel trade (coyotes dont wanna pq him 42 mill actual Money over 6 more yrs)cap dump involving eriksson roussel beagle ferland first in 2022 frees to of cap
take a sundin run at ovi for 2 yrs for 26 mill
draft power or clarke
let myers or holtby go to seattle
ovi petey podkolzin
miller horvat boeser
pearson hoglander
gadjovich gravoac motte
macewen
hughes hamonic
oel schmidt
rathbone power or clarke
juolevi
demko
dipietro
only thing team missing would be a third line center
benning could find a decent faceoff guy for prospects or at free agency

Rarely is anyone the same after surgery. He was basically a PPG player the last few seasons. I would expect a dip in performance. Cuz he can't exactly train after surgery (out of game shape) and probably not worth a $10M price tag anymore. Also you'd basically lose him for 1 season while he recovers.
So no to Eichel.
ive had 4 surgeries im fine hes got a herniated disc tho he might have to retire thats a major surgery with complications that could make you paralyzed hes got a 10 mill cap and no ones buying him at full price if anything sabres wil sell him cheap for the cap savings not sure his stats have ever been worthy of a 10 mill cap long term he isnt mcdavid he got 18 points this yr

I don’t think that’s remotely close to what it would take. Take Eriksson and the 3rd out and you’re still not close.
hes got a serious herniated disc in neck that might need surgery ypu really think his value will get that with the risk involved no way canucks go for him

Still scratching my head why people think we can get OEL for very little while dumping Ericsson on them. Most unrealistic wet dream ever.
because coyote owners are deep in debt and oel is owed about 48-49 mill
if we gave them schmidt 6 mill 3 yrs
roussel 3 mill 1 yr and eriksson 1 yr 6 mill thats 15 mill cap hit compared to oel at 8.25 frees up 6.75 mill but eriksson only actually owed 3 mill after his bonus is paid so trade would be 24 mill actual cash
mesning owners save 20 mill over term plus they could trade schmidt for a 1st so theyd have to pay out 6 mill real cash for roussel and eriksson basically saves coyotes 42mill and helps them reach cap floor by affjng 9 mill in cap hit

Did you actually read it? I mean seriously.......
why would sanjose trade a top 10 pick for a bad goalie contract they could just retain half his contract and give a 1st rounder in 2022-23 season to dump him
