I'll always remember Luongo nearly singlehandedly keeping the Canucks in the final game of the Ducks series and yet all people focused on was the 1 mistake he made. I think that game summed up his time in Vancouver pretty well.

Interesting take here.
Seems like he has some similarities to Jannik Hansen. Relentlessly aggressive, good straight line speed and a bit of a one man show.

It's nice to see all the happiness and joy on here. I didn't care as much if Boston won or not but I can't deny it's fun to laugh at Marchand.

Nice turnover by Marchand that led to the first Blues goal.

Juolevi still hasn't even skated wow. That's almost 6 months of not just being out but not even skating.

Look for the Ducks to be better next season.

If this goes the distance St Louis need to bring a priest with them to the arena for game 7 in San Jose.

There’s a fair amount of wink-wink, nudge-nudge involved in getting players onto LTIR to avoid recapture, but the league has shown that they’re willing to accept these kinds of moves from teams looking to avoid cap penalties. And in Luongo’s case, they probably don’t even need to bend the rules, as he very well could fail a physical for legitimate medical reasons. This is a player who is managing chronic issues and requires a 90 minute pregame routine just to get his body in a state where he can withstand playing a full 60 minutes in net. So it’s not going to be too tough for the doctors to give him a failing grade on his physical, especially if they are looking to fail him. And when they know the NHL has no issue being complicit making in such a determination. So it’s probably not all that bold a statement to suggest Luongo’s recapture penalties will be avoided by using the LTIR loophole.
It is true, however, that Luongo believes he can play out his contract, and has made it clear that his preference is to keep playing professional hockey, even in a limited role, so long as he can help a team. But I think ultimately, this decision will be taken out of the player’s hands (and Luongo, being the good soldier, will play along with the theatrics, even if he doesn’t like it). Luongo is healthy enough to play until his team decides that he’s not, and this will have little to do with his actual wellness and performance, but merely when it becomes most convenient for the team, for cap reasons.
There is a world of difference between conspiracy theories posted on the internet and a trustworthy source connected to the league confirming that fraudulent activity is going on.

What is the mob going to take out his legs?! lol.

Both Burke and Kypreos talked about how Luongo would fail his physical next year and ride out his contract on LTIR. I found it quite bold to make those statements considering Luongo just played and won a game earlier in the day. So Luongo is healthy today but he won't be in September of 2019...hmmm.

Finally seeing EP in some Canucks games 2 of the things that stood out for me are:
1. He'll put mustard on his passes. He's such a tiny little guy that I was expecting more soft powder puff passing but instead noticed how he will bear down and put so umph into it. It reminds me of a goal scorer like a Stamkos or OV that will get a pass and have an open net but they still bury it like they mean it. I think it's a sign of a good habit.
2. Oh freakin' yeah do I like this one...He uses deception and doesn't telegraph what he's doing. One of my biggest pet peeves is guys that slow the play down and telegraph what they're gonna do(especially on the power play) like the famous one where the point guy holds it for 2 seconds then takes a slap shot directly into the defender's shin pads. EP is out there doing all sorts of stuff, looking all over, passing between his legs, slap pass, down low, hold wait and pass, pass to himself who knows what the heck he's gonna do and I love it.

Damn end of an era, Burrows may be my favorite Canuck of all time. ECHL to the NHL, full effort, all heart, squeezing out all the offense he could muster, being a pain for everyone who aren't the Canucks and of course slaying that dragon baby!
I love that the vast majority of Canucks fans always loved him and everyone else hated him.
I wish him well for the rest of his career but he'll always be a Canuck.

Watching him play in the game last night I couldn't help but think that he was what many Canucks fans were asking for after losing to Boston. A top liner with some nastiness, NOT 3rd and 4th line goons.
Anyway it's great seeing Canucks content on Canada, here's to a great tourney for Jake.

I'm surprised no one is willing to take a chance on him. Last year of his contract he should be as motivated as he's gonna get. I guess that contract is just too high.

Yes! Sooooo satisfying, I love it.
One more baby.

Kreider again.

Yeeeees!
It's only one game, but it's nice to get the series off on the right foot.

I was gonna cheer for whoever came out of the west, so LA it is. I really hope they have enough in the tank to stomp out the Rangers.
-
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
So much for all those folks saying Boston and Chicago were gonna meet up again in the finals. Neither one made it.
-
Lol, is this a pre-season game.
-
Just unfair to have to go against Quick in that situation for Gibson. It really would have been surprising for the Ducks to win a game 7 against LA with the Goaltending and defence they have.

Woooooooooohoooooo!
Team whiny diving cheapshot is done. DONE!
So long dirtbags.
stuff it down your throats, suck up every ounce of the ownage Bruins. Montreal poked the bear over and over then they killed it Bahahaha. Good job Thornton getting the Habs fired up, go home and spray yourself in the face lol.
Haha taste it Boston fans, just suck up every morsel of defeat by the team that owns you over and over again lol. I AM LAUGHING IN YOUR FACE HAHAHAHA!
Soooooo good.
Edit: How could I forget about the 2 sickening homers Cherry and Stock lol. Just imagining them raging is a really happy mental image.

The Boston whining and diving is out of control. These whining goons are ridiculous.
