Well stay safe out there

Is it as bad as social media is showing. Or is it contained and nothing to see here as authorities are trying to claim??
It's calmed down a lot. The people in the city are all at home and only going out for food. Even then they just go and get back as quickly as possible. All public transportation and ways in and out of the city are shut down. The hospitals from social media here shows that they are full and a little chaotic there but in the city, people are bunkered up with family at home. So just waiting it out.

You live in Wuhan?
Yeah, been here for a while now

I live in city right now. It's like a ghost city, everyone is staying at home and not going out. The grocery stores have all been bought out. Seems like everyone is hibernating now.

How is it a downgrade? Demko will be there! No better goalie coach/player then Carey Price! Who still in his prime he still have 6 years of solid goaltending before he starts to slow down imho dont know what your thinking/smoking lol
At this point I like Markstrom at his salary more than Price at his salary. So to me, it's a downgrade.
-
Why do we want to downgrade our goaltending?

Would love to have Tryamkin back but question is who goes down and is he expansion draft eligible?

I'm pretty much at the point of any other prospect but Hoglander

Not really... 99% of goalies after McLean and before Luongo are the main reason.
We loved our backups like Essensa and Irbe, just hated the starters

Fascinating turn of events. When was the last time the Canucks even had a goalie at the All-Star game?
Luongo

So why was he fined then if it wasn't bad character? He should be awarded money then if it were truly a good character moment. Pfft. Don't give me that crap.
He broke a rule so he got fined. Are you telling me every player who has ever been fined has bad character?

He’s not a Canuck, that’s why for me. I want all other teams’ players to suck, and prospects to bustaroo.
picking on a kid's play is one thing but to question someone's character is beyond hockey.

He's a sore loser. Bad character moment. There are some things you can't do in uniform. There's a REASON why he (and the others) were fined.
Now he's demanded a trade. To me, this screams self-entitlement issues. But sure, I'm sure the underachieving Lias Andersson can't be faulted at all. It's everyone else's fault.
That wasn't a bad character moment. That was a young kid doing something stupid because he was emotional moment. It's pretty sad that you can sit there and judge someone you don't know as having bad character from something you did saw on TV when you don't even know the kid. That judgement from you is bad character. The kid just wants a fresh start, he's not the only player that has ever demanded a trade. He's a hockey player that you don't even know. Why you attacking him like that?

Except we do remember him being second place. That's the point. What a sore loser.
If he threw the medal at the opposing team then he would be a sore loser but he didn't. He threw it in the crowd. They gave him the medal, he should be able to do anything he wants with it.

Some are disappointed due to the asset giving up for him. Sure, Hunter Shinkurak is in the KHL... but considering it was a 1st rounder used.... it's poor asset management.
Better to trade a quantifiable asset (draft picks) for a known asset rather than having the pick depreciate and then trading it away for something less.
How is that poor asset management. Granlund already has more NHL games than Shinkurak will ever have.

Interesting.
Regardless, it likely started because the captain decided to remove his. It set the precedent.
I call that being competitive. No one remembers second place.

Dude, where you getting your smoke from? Cause I gotta get me some of that!

I can't believe how angry I was when we traded him.

Just like Dahlen was tearing it up with Petey in the Swedish league right? Oh, and how the Sedins tore it up with Eriksson for Team Sweden?
How'd those turn out?
The guy has 9 points in 66 games and hasn't done nearly anything to warrant demanding a trade.
I'd rather not have sore losing whiners on the team.
When did Petey play with Dahlen play together in the Swedish Elite League? The Sedins met up with Eriksson when all three players were on the decline so that doesn't help.
Andersson's stock has got to be pretty low so worth a shot.

I will pretend all day until Jake doesn't surpass Bert when he was 25. 25 years old, 25 goals, 25 assists. Jake could be better than this.
Jake will always be a different type of player Bertuzzi was. Jake is just too happy and Bert was a brooder who was always in a bad mood. Jake will never impact the game like Betuzzi did that said, I hope he impacts the game in other ways.

To NYR - Sven Baertchi, Chris Tanev, Olli Juolevi
To Van - Lias Anderson, Anthony Deangelo
After passing on Tkachuk, watch him slowly develop and I mean slooooooooooly now watching him do so well in the AHL and about to get on the Canucks, we trade him? I would be supremely depressed if they trade Juolevi.

He had a great tourny. I actually thought he was as good as Petey in that tourny. He was bigger and had a more physical game.
turned it up when Petey got hurt too.

OMG please Benning, go get this guy. I still remember him and Petey tearing it up for team Sweden.

Never had a Subban that played well for the Canucks

It's a little scary but I'm in an apartment full of expats so we are all getting together in our apartments. The people here are still celebrating the Spring Festival at home as if nothing is happening so we are taking a cue from the locals to do the same.
