Goalline
1) Sign Shane Doan - 3 years 12.3 million Doan gives us experience and size on the wings. Will be a very valuable addition come playoff time. Hre is a player who hates to lose and will do anything for his team. 2) Sign Olli Jokinen - 3 years 10.5 million Jokinen is hit or miss. Yes he is inconsistent. Yes he played for the Flames. However, he puts up points, decent on the draws, and has some size. 3) Trade To Florida R. Luongo K. Ballard M. Raymond N. Jensen To Vancouver D. Kulikov S. Matthias M. Santorelli Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Doan Higgins - Jokinen - Hansen Matthias - Lapierre - Kassian Malhotra, Santorelli Hamhuis - Bieksa Edler - Garrison Kulikov - Tanev Alberts Schneider Lack This trade solidifies our defense which is missing a player who excels at moving the puck and creating offense both in the zone and off the rush. Kulikov is a poor mans Doughty or Karlsson an asset our team hasn't had in years. Kulikov is still young and we may have to throw in other assets to pry him away from Florida. Vancouver also gets some size for the bottom 6 in Matthias that will benefit us come playoff time. Matthias and Kassian would look good together banging bodies on the fourth line. Santorelli is a hometown product and can play all three forward positions. He is a shifty young playmaker who may be able to develop into a full time NHL but for now could be this years Andrew Ebbett. Florida gets their starting goaltender, an Olympic gold medal winner and proven all star. They get a replacement for Kulikov that played his best hockey in Florida in Ballard. Raymond is a project player with amazing speed who may be able to rejuvenate his career after that hit in game 6 of last years finals. Raymond could benefit from not being in the Vancouver spotlight. Jensen is another prospect who took great leaps this past year and looks to be on his way to the NHL.
nd84
Looks like were the ones trying pursue something from Florida. Not willing to part with Jensen just yet especially for that. Jokinen will sign for 4+ I believe and will sign where he can play top 6. We're not gonna invest that type of money for an offensive guy to play the 3rd line
Jägermeister
I wouldn't make that deal, it's not worth giving up Jensen for. I also figure Jokinen will be getting $4mil+
