bure19
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=400252 The Vancouver Canucks re-signed forward Mason Raymond to a one-year, $2.275 million extension on Monday, avoiding arbitration with the 26-year-old. Looking to have his salary reduced by as much as 15 per cent for next season, the Canucks invoked a rarely used provision of the NHL's collective bargaining agreement to file against Raymond. The intention of the move was to reduce the $2.6 million in salary he made last season. With the move, Raymond was guaranteed to make no less than $2.21 million next season. Raymond collected 10 goals and 10 assists in 55 games with the Canucks last season, appearing in five post-season games and recording one assist. The Cochrane, Alberta native has 156 career points over the span of 328 NHL games. On the International stage, Raymond represented Canada at the 2010 World Championships. Raymond was drafted by the Canucks in the second round (51st overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
