Senators sign RFA Hoffman to one-year, two way contract:

The Ottawa Senators have signed centre Mike Hoffman one-year, two way contract on Wednesday.

The restricted free agent will earn $660,000 at the NHL level and $67,000 in the American Hockey League.

The 23-year-old Hoffman was the Binghamton Senators' leading scorer this past season before he suffered a broken collarbone just before the all-star game. He played three games with the Senators before re-injuring the collarbone and missed the last 12 regular season and first 10 playoff games. The Kitchener, Ont, native recorded 13 goals and 15 assists with the Binghamton this past season.

Hoffman was drafted by the Senators in the fifth round (130th overall) of the 2009 NHLL Entry Draft.
