  1. Welcome to CDC, Kyle! Maybe next year you can get back to the playoffs and another early exit with that scrub-fest that composes half your roster.
  2. Interesting, Capfriendly just removed him from Calgary's page.
  3. There were some games last year where Jake was a force and truly dominant, able to change the game. If he could ever bring that consistently, watch out.
  4. Don't really see how they could have pulled it off anyway, unless they found a taker for Koskinen.
  5. $8mil in cap and 20 contracts. Three to sign, including Jake, so looking like Tanev or Barrie and a UFA dman.
  6. Could still turn out to be the best player out of that draft...
  7. I'd see him with Edler, as he was with Stecher. Edler actually pairs up well with offensive dmen, like with Erhoff and Salo in the past; lets him simplify his game. Edler - Barrie Hughes - Myers Juolevi - UFA
  8. As a RHD top-4 replacement for Tanev, would not be surprised. Dunno if he'd take term on a similar money deal though, but market may have changed. 4 years would be nice.
  9. No way he takes $4.5 and 4 years. Marky gonna do us a solid and put the screws to 'em if it's Edmonton or Calgary.
  10. Hope Marky really sticks it to the Alberta teams in a bidding war and 7 years with full NMC to boot.
  11. And in addition to coverage for the expansion draft, 2 years could be the exact timeframe needed to have MikeyD ready to come in as backup.
  12. Well done, JB. If there was retention on OEL and it was a Juolevi or similar it would have been a great add, but Demko is just an absolute deal-breaker. So we're likely stuck with LE but saving on goaltending now and perhaps from the departures of Tanev and TT, and gives guys like Juolevi, Rafferty, and even Lind opportunity.
  13. I think I'd be okay taking Barrie at or less than Tanev's cap, and for not many years hopefully. We then need a solid shutdown defender to pair up with Hughes. That'll really help with the puckmoving and transition from the back end, not to mention the powerplay.
  14. Amazing, now we're set at G for expansion. Sure, assets for Marky would have been great, but hopefully he doesn't sign with Calgary or Edmonton. Always had the feeling that Demko's their long-term man.
  15. Everyone would, but there's apparently a 50 contract limit...
  16. Simply no way he was being offered market value, under all the circumstances. Potential huge mistake on his part.
  17. Astounding how some can call the missed opportunity to get a top-pairing dman at a discount a "good thing".
