  1. I usually put this on when I am sneaking around looking for holiday presents. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtLoaMfinbU
  2. Tootoo should shut up, if he has a problem, take it up with the league. Don't run to the media. Burrows wasn't even there to defend himself (in front of the media).
  3. Sam Gagner went to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Teddy Purcell apparently. Then he was traded to the Coyotes, along with B.J. Crombeen in exchange for a 6th round draft pick (2015)! Not sure what they are thinking there.
  4. How do buyouts work exactly ? http://www.capgeek.com/player/121 It looks like Ehrhoff had a front end loaded contract, and had already paid him 22 million over 3 seasons. (10m, 8m, 4m). They will buy out 2014-2021 (worth 18m over 7 years). They are allowed to pay out only 75% (12m) over 2014-2028 (14 years, $857,143.00/year) with no cap hit ? That sounds like they are allowed to stretch that over way too many years.
  5. Go! Canucks! Go! The Canucks can pull it together for a win; full 60 minutes boys!
  6. I never said to rush guys back. I just said we need to get healthy, and quick. I understand Kesler and D. Sedin could be out for a bit longer, but even a guy like Richards coming back helps. Stanton looks like he came back yesterday, which is also nice. (Not so much injury related) Kassian is also coming back from his 3 game suspension.
  7. I disagree. I would like this team to show some heart. This becomes a habit. If we make a habit of throwing in the towel before the season is done (especially when we are still on the fence), believe me, the young guys will see it and learn to do this. I'd like to keep that "I believe" mentality, it's much healthier than "there's always next year, plus we got a better pick" that Edmonton seems to have adopted over the last 5 years.
  8. Very strong troll with 12k posts! Well, you see the season is coming to an end. I like to see my team make the playoffs (**** me, right?). We have several injured players, and I feel that if we were to get some of the guys back healthy and soon, we might have a shot at making the playoffs!
  9. We need to get some guys healthy... and quick.
  10. I think this stings now, but it was for the best. We got a couple pieces back, but no hefty contracts. I think Gillis was aiming to free up some cap space. I know Lou is a good guy and I am sure he gets along with everyone in the dressing room, but the stress from management seems to ripple through the team. Hopefully Gillis will loosen his tie so that the blood can be released from his skull; before he makes his next move. Also, Talk about first world problems. He is moving back to Florida, where his wife wants to live; where he lives in the summer. He still earns the same amount of money, if not more because he is in the USA. He also doesn't have to put up with being recognized everywhere he goes (I bet this is huge).
  11. I wasn't surprised that Lack got the first two starts, but the third surprises me. I think there is an equal chance that they are trying to showcase Eddie Lack before the trade deadline. I don't think Mike Gillis is going to panic at the trade deadline. That is to say; he won't make a trade for the sake of making a trade.
  12. I have a hard time believing Gillis would even consider that offer. Franzen has missed over 25 games this season due to concussion symptoms, he is already 34 years old and only getting older. I call Bologna.
  13. I was just watching a feature on burrows during the break. He talks about where he was at the beginning; angry when he couldn't score, he thought about it way too much, then he learned playing with Linden. He started to relax, he knew if he played his game the goals would come. He goes on to talk about where is now. He explains it is different being 32 and seeing 18-19 year old kids coming in, he tries to help them to the best of his ability (keeping their confidence up). At the end of the interview he mentions he has a child now. It put his life into perspective. He leaves all the hockey in the rink and doesn't bring it home with him. He used to stay awake at night thinking about tomorrows plays etc. I am happy for him and his family; however, I wonder if this has anything to do with his record this year?
  14. I haven't put down our team during this stretch... but I have to say. This is becoming hard to watch.
  15. I've got Scheifele in my fantasy pool, wouldn't mind seeing him keep his hot streak going. Other than that, Go! Canucks! Go!
  16. Canucks must have left Dallas almost right away, 2 hour flight or 14 hour drive. Sleep in a hotel/bus and get ready for the 5pm game. Chicago is coming back from 2 days off. Here's to hoping for the best.
  17. Really? You don't want to judge before the trade deadline? That doesn't seem very wise.
