Dissappointing weekend for Kelowna. Thought it would be a split for sure.

Yeah, definitely rough. I know there's lots of hockey left to be played, but I think Portland sealed up the Conference with those two games.

Kamloops is creeping up on Kelowna, the game on the 15th will be a big one. Should be good

Rockets Bounce Back with Win in Everett

February 11, 2013

Kelowna travels to Everett and snaps three game losing skid with 3-2 win over Silvertips

Feb. 10, 2013 - Kelowna, BC

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Everett Silvertips 3-2 on Sunday night in Everett, snapping a three game losing skid with the win.

Jackson Whistle made 27 saves in the win as the Rockets jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Everett scored twice to make the score 3-2 after two periods.

Colton Sissons, Ryan Olsen and JT Barnett scored for the Rockets, who shrugged off two weekend losses to Portland, bussed to Everett and picked up two points on the road.

The Rockets are in first place in the WHL BC Division and return to Prospera Place for home games this Thursday and Saturday, hosting Everett on Thursday before two games against the Kamloops Blazers including Saturday night in Kelowna.

Good to see the team back to their winning ways , hopefully we can do to the blazers , what portland did to us.

Portland must be a thorn in the side of the rockets as well as the blazers...

Well Kelowna split with Portland in a back to back in Portland earlier this season. And we were in the first game but seemed to take the 2nd game off here in Kelowna. It'd be an interesting playoff series but Kelowna would need to be a little better obviously to have a chance.

Gettin kinda screwed having to play 3 in 3 while Kamloops only has to do the back to back with us. Hopefully we'll be able to give decent efforts throughout.

Pretty sure we've had to do a 3-in-3 involving Kelowna earlier this year, while they only did the back to back. Just the way the schedule works. It'll be a damn good weekend of hockey though, Kelowna always plays us tough and vice versa.
