sorry he is just not doing enough for what he's getting paid for, especially on the scoresheet. I know he plays physical but man for 4.2 mill a year he HAS to contribute offensively on a regular basis

Call up Reinprecht, put Lappy/Pahlsson/Manny on the 2nd line.

If we still had Hodgson this wouldn't be a problem :sadno:

The Reinprecht solution seems good. I have to agree with you about Hodgson. The trade, though still early, seems to be a big miss for Gillis. I have to think they were trying to unload Hodgson (demands, unruly agent, etc...) more than they wanted Kassian.

English Bob: A plague on you. A plague on the whole stinking lot of ya, without morals or laws. And all you whores got no laws. You got no honor. It's no wonder you all emigrated to America, because they wouldn't have you in England. You're a lot of savages, that's what you all are. A bunch of bloody savages. A plague on you. I'll be back.

Edler does not deserve to be 5th.

Look at these fans, it's quite funny. Two bad games and everyone begins to turn on the players. Nothing new here folks.

Interesting thought up in the thread moving Booth to Henrik's line....it goes against all of my sensibilities putting that puck hog on our first line. But, if Henrik wants someone to pass to, this guy makes a lot of sense. He's the guy that passes go to die, and clearly has no chemistry at all with Kesler right now.

Booth-Hank-Burr
Raymond-Kes-Kass(?)
Higgins-Pahlsson-Hansen
Malhotra-Lapierre-Weise

Of all of the sets of AV line changes we've seen, I guess I don't understand why this one hasn't been tried yet?

If you look close, Edler is technically 7th.

You mean 6th? Because Bieksa is 5th...

Still would take Booth and his determination over Samuelsson and Sturm.

Booth is a quality addition to this team, but clearly isnt a good fit beside Kesler.

Passing has never been a part of his game. Driving the net with speed and being physical in tough areas is where he's effective. He needs a playmaking center, but mostly he needs d-men with effective outlet passes to catch him in stride... Something our D is not doing right now.

Unfortunatley Booth is a player that is only consistenty effective with the right surroundings. KNowing what I know about him since the deal, Id still make the trade, considering his age and ability.

I really don't like Booth.. he seems to think he's Pavel Bure or something. He wants to do it all on his own.. he just won't use his linemates.

Yeah another great addition by Gillis along with Kassian and Gragnani ?

Gillis has made 2 good additions , Higgins and Pahlsson.

Well we could say that about a couple of players couldnt we.

Booth if he played as many games as kesler was on pace for about the same amount of goals as kesler, and we pay him less then kesler, if you want to look at the scoresheet. Then you look at a guy like burrows whose an absolute steal, so whose to say if hes overpaid.

Booth pretty much was on pace for what he scores every year, 22-25 goals. He has had his droughts though, but so has the team. We knew what we were getting with booth, and that was a 22-25 goal scorer. He had no post season history however.

You sure your not thinking of kesler here? He is the center that needs to pass to his line mates.

Booth and Kesler. Both of them can't pass.
I think the 2nd line needs a playmaker on it.
Edler has gotten a lot better. I remember when Sundin was with the Canucks he was helping Edler with it.

Many times he's had a man open.. like Higgins going for a hattrick.. but he elects to shoot.. and miss.. all by himself. He's a selfish player.

Again same can be said for kesler, and again kesler is the center.

They both need to pass more, but kesler more so considering his position.

Its odd the whole team can't pass anymore. OK coach, identify what these fans have, and practise with these guys. Have practise drills til they are sick of it and learn how to make a pass. You are supposed to correct deficiencies like that. You are the coach right?

Exactly why you put him on the first with Burrows and Hendrick.
Hendrick needs a shooter
ie. missing Danny

I can't take your list seriously with Ballard at the bottom. Since he moved to his natural side his passes are sublime........def top 6
