foreveracanuck37
To Van: Jakub Voracek and a 3rd To Philly: Alex Edler, Mason Raymond and a 2nd ONLY IF EDLER DOESNT WANT TO RE-SIGN Vancouver reason: We get a good young forward that can put up Very good numbers in the next few years playing with the Sedin's or Kes Phillys reason: They get even younger on there back end, to go along with There young team and with Lilja and Timonen both 37 and retiring souon Edler Will be there to mentor there younger guys.. They also get a forward who has proven He can put up points if with the right players. The reason I added a 2nd in Vancouver proposal is because Edler and Raymond Contracts are both up this year.. To Van: Shawn Matthias, Demitry Kulikov, and a 2nd To Florida: Roberto Luongo, Manny Malholtra, Anton Rodin Vancouvers Reasons: They send Luongo where he wants to go, and get a dman Back to replace Edler, who has a promising future, and we get a better 3rd line center And a younger 3rd line. Floridas Reasons: They get there goalie they need, plus a prospect to fit in with Huberdeau Within the next few years.. They also get a 3rd or 4th line center and a pretty good penalty kill Than we sign Kulikov: 5 years $25 million CAPGEEK.COM USER GENERATED ROSTER My Custom Lineup FORWARDS Daniel.Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Jakub Voracek ($5.00m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.00m) / Alex Burrows ($2.00m) Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) / Shawn Matthias ($0.851m) / Chris Higgins ($1.90m) Aaron Volpatti ($0.600m) / Max Lapierre ($1.000) / Dale Weise ($0.615m) DEFENSEMEN Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) / Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) Demitry Kulikov ($5.00m) / Jason Garrison ($4.600m) Keith Ballard ($4.200) / Chris Tanev ($0.900m) Andrew Alberts ($1.225m) GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($4.000m) Eddie Lack ($0.750) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $70,200,000; CAP PAYROLL: $61,112,12; BONUSES: $0 CAP SPACE (21 man roster) $9,087,

Jägermeister
If Voracek hadn't inked an extension with Philly that might have been a good deal, but I doubt they'd give up so much for someone who they may not even get after the year is done. Florida deal is good, but Florida is pretty high on Kulikov.

Alex the Great
Am I missing something? Why are we paying Kulikov 6.5 mil if we signed him at 25M for 5 years?
foreveracanuck37
In the second deal kulikov is a rfa so it's not really an underpayment.. And first both our players are far next season so how is it over payment?

kanucks1
I would agree with this. I'm more concerned that the Canucks would be giving a 21 yr old a contract with a cap hit of $5 million per year, making him the team's highest paid d-man. And people complain about Garrison's contract... regards, G.
