NuxFan09
1st unit is Sterling - Schroeder - Gordon, with Groulx and Haydar at the point.
canuck_trevor16
Mallet, Grenier, and Sauve have all been re-assigned to the Wolves. They just have yet to see game action. Until the Wolves lose a couple, I don't see that happening.
NuxFan09
4th line with a good chance as Blomstrand led a 3 on 2 and then crashed the net. The Wolves color guy just commented about how he loved the tenacity of Blomstrand to take the hit to create a good chance.
NuxFan09
The Canucks may have a real gem in Blomstrand. He doesn't necessarily have all world skill, but he plays the game with grit and a power forward mentality. He clearly understands what it takes to score goals. NuxFan09
The Haydar line is just awful defensively. Gordon is a good two way player but both Sterling and Haydar are one dimensional offensive players at the AHL level. Every game I watch/listen to, I notice the Haydar line seems to give up the most quality chances against.
NuxFan09
Very solid 1st period overall.

NuxFan09
Great shift by the Schroeder line. They held possession in the offensive zone for awhile there. Just couldn't get a clean chance.
NuxFan09
Questionable defensive coverage by Polasek results in a goal for Steven Kampfer to give the Aeros the lead. 2-1 Aeros.
NuxFan09
Anyone else listening to the radio feed? The voices just got really creepy for a second, lol.
NuxFan09
Seems like Blomstrand is getting a ton of ice time. Good news for us Canucks fans: the Wolves coaching staff are obviously fans of this guy. Looking like the Blomstrand-Lain-Longpre line is the 3rd line, while Rodin-Kattelus-Davies is the 4th, in this game anyway.
NuxFan09
Longpre goes to the box for 2. Aeros to the PP.
NuxFan09
That didn't take long. Zucker took his time, took the shot, and scored. 3-1 Aeros. Climie isn't looking so invincible lately. Coach Arniel seriously needs to consider getting Cannata in more game action, not just once in 3 games in 3 nights situations.
Joel Heyman
Man, Blomstrand has sick wheels. Couple real nice rushes there.
NuxFan09
Aeros score again. This time it's a wrap around goal by Dan DaSilva. Now Climie has been pulled and Cannata enters. 4-1 Aeros. Now the Schroeder line answers the call again and Sweatt scores! Schroeder should get another assist. 4-2 Aeros.
NuxFan09
You just gotta love how Schroeder doesn't waste any time in making an impact for the Wolves when sent down. Twice in a row now that he's been re-assigned to Chicago and responded brilliantly. With the NHL experience under his belt this year, I think he's officially made the leap to a top tier impact player at the AHL level.
