  1. Stone Cold - I just wanted to say you have done a hell of a job with this thread. It's a very insightful look into what this organization has for talent. As a Comet's fan, I was able to look forward to your posts about our team. Next season should be very interesting in Utica. Keep up the good work! We really appreciate what you do.
  2. Here's a question I need some help with. Some of us fans in Utica would like some help determining an attendance figure of our building compared to the rest of the league. Because attendance figures can be misleading, we would like to know the following: To what % of capacity has the Aud been filled to this year? I know somewhere there is a person that has come up with a chart or graph to show this actual number.
  3. For a 1st year Canuck fan, I enjoyed reading this. I hope to see things turn around for the team. Some have mentioned that the "Canucks own their own farm team for a change". Because I'm here in Utica, I'd like to know what this means. I enjoy reading these posts. People here are very passionate about their team. "True Fans".
  4. After watching the game last night, I may have one answer for why Tommerenes is -18: He needs to shoot the puck. Last night, he was on the ice for both of Utica's 5 on 3 pp's. He chooses to PASS, always! He doesn't shoot. The same can be said for Sauve. The Comets downside of the power play is the lack of shots. Yes, they scored in the 1st minute last night on the pp, but, that was the only goal they scored. Biega delivered a monster hit in the 2nd period. Good to see him step up.
  5. If the stars align just the right way, it looks like Utica may have great team to start the next season. If these prospects are as good as they are being mentioned to be, then they won't be in Utica for long.
  6. Torts may have went a bit overboard but, to see that much emotion from a coach, I can only think it will motivate the Canucks. To see a passionate coach stand behind HIS team, no matter the circumstances, shows me that he CARES. I believe the team appreciates that.
  7. Always hopeful, waited 20 years for hockey here. Playoffs in Utica? They gotta play at a pretty good clip, winning at least 2 out of 3 often. They play pretty good, sometimes, but they are missing at least 3 key elements to make the playoffs, at this point. They need at least 2 forwards to step up and start putting the puck home. Hello Jensen, you out there? We need more toughness. Besides Archibald, no one seems to want to get tough with the other teams. Lastly, goaltending is suspect. We have given up 10 goals in the last 2 games! That's tough to come back from, especially if you don't have the fire power to even the score early on. I'd love to see the Comet's in the playoffs, I just don't see it this year. I hope I'm wrong though.
  8. Playoffs? In Utica? Wait, seriously? This year? The boy's are going to have to make 1 hell of a push to get to that point. I'll always remain optimistic, but I'll just be happy with a .500 record this season.
  9. Thanks for the info. I'll keep my eye on this thread from now on. It will be exciting to see who comes Utica's way. It's weird to actually think of a "off season" for a change.
  10. This is my 1st time looking at this page and, to my surprise, I am VERY impressed by some of the prospects. I can't believe that Dane Fox has racked up 42 goals in 39 games. I never paid much attention to the Major Junior league. How does that league compare to, say the AHL or ECHL? His +/- is incredible. What would be the time frame of seeing some of these guys playing in Utica? One thing I don't see is goalie prospects. Outside of Eriksson and Cannata, who's the bright spot we have lined up in goal? I'll have to pay more attention to this page. According to these stats, there is some pretty impressive talent on the horizon. It's going to be fun to watch
  11. Utica Comets face book page is posting some great game recaps, photos and stories of the Comets. Good read for those of you interested in the AHL prospects.
  12. Great job with this idea. If you need any information from down here "on the farm", let me know. Be more than happy to provide you with info on the Comets. Looking forward to reading this post throughout the year.
