  1. Lol, yeah Vancouver looked really scary beating a bunch of teenagers 1-0...
  2. http://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/2012/03/01/toronto_fc_reach_disney_final/ Vancouver vs Toronto for the final of this cup. TFC has sent some coaches and players home to prepare for Los Angeles next week, so expect to see mostly reserve and trialiats for Toronto.
  3. That is false actually, about Le Toux. He wanted to stay in Philledelphia but was forced out of town. They pushed him to go to Bolton for a trail in hopes he would stick, and they would recieve money for him. He wasn't feeling it, and wanted to return to Philly, and upon return they traded him to Vancouver. I posted an article about this earlier in the thread: http://www.timesherald.com/article/20120131/SPORTS03/120139878&pager=full_story some quotes: It had gotten to the point where I said to them, to Nick, to Peter, to everyone, ‘Just give me a contract and I will sign it,’” said Le Toux, who spoke exclusively with the Daily Times. “I wanted to stay in Philly. I didn’t care about the money.” “That’s why they pushed me to Bolton — money.” Le Toux said he was “honored” for the Bolton trial, but his heart was with the Union. He had made a home in West Chester, where he and his longtime girlfriend Kendall lived. He adored the fan base and his teammates.“I told them I would consider (Bolton), but I knew it wasn’t good for me,” Le Toux said. “I was out of shape. I hadn’t kicked a ball in five weeks. I didn’t want to go over there and injure myself in cold weather. What good is that for me or (the Union)?”
  4. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/02/17/neely-teibert-reunited-vancouver-after-toronto-switch In case anyone missed this, on the MLS site. Brief article on Neely and Teibert.
  5. I certainly am reffereing to those two. They will both do great jobs. I was sad to see both of them leave. I wonder who will be next. Mo Johnson?
  6. http://www.whitecapsfc.com/news/2012/02/whitecaps-fc-name-stuart-neely-head-player-management-and-advancement So is the end goal out there to comprise a coaching staff of 100% former Toronto personnel?
  7. Here's where the drama is stemming from: http://www.timesherald.com/article/20120131/SPORTS03/120139878&pager=full_story Sounds like the Union bosses are a bunch of dicks.
  8. That french combo up front scares me. I think the Whitecaps will unload at least 1 striker though, seems like they are loaded up up front. That being said, goals were never hard to come by for them last season, the bigger issue seemed to be keeping goals out (especially late). The biggest question for me is whether or not they have addressed their defensive issues properly going into the next season.
  9. Also Vancouver picked up Lee Nguyen yesterday: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/12/16/nguyen-eager-take-new-challenge-vancouver Will wait till i see him in action to judge.. Low risk play though, i was hoping Toronto would end up with him.
  10. If you mean Julian i wouldn't get your hopes up. I don't see him moving simply due to his price tag. Little too expensive for a defensive midfielder in the MLS (considering how little the salary cap is). Although i do think he would help the Whitecaps out, i would say their midfield needs the most work, especially after signing that Korean (jealous of the quality of that signing, and not even at DP price) to shore up the D.
  11. Canadian Championship coming down to Vancouver and Toronto. Leg 1- In Vancouver May 18 Leg 2- In Toronto May 25 Going to be interesting to see who comes out on top, and what kind of line up's we will see. So far Toronto took the Canadian Cup pretty seriously, starting many starters against Edmonton earlier in the week (even when they were already up 3-0 on agg.) Can't wait.
  12. TFC effect. BMO Field has had great stretches of being a fortress, where TFC will take away tons of points. But then suck ass on the road, and miss the play offs. Home field is huge in MLS.
  13. Hassali needs to cool it down a bit. It will be hard to make an impact if he only plays every other game lmao! epic come back from 0-3 last weekend tho.
  14. Scar Tissue that I wish you saw,

    Sarcastic mister know it all...
