  1. Compare even strength ice time. Grabner got about as much as any of the other top 9 forwards. PK and PPs is the reason he got less ice.
  2. The cost of transit passes will be going up.
  3. Sounds like San Francisco http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loma_Prieta_e..._transportation They had something like the GEorgia Viaduct destroyed by an earthquake. The damage and loss of life was definitely horrible. But after it was removed, the area was much more attractive to work in and visit.
  4. I was in L.A. back in April, and it was already incredibly hazy looking out the 20th floor. I can't imagine July and August being better.
  5. Single-occupancy vehicle users don't sustain the current highway system. If tomorrow, freight and delivery trucks somehow ceased to use roads and highways -- we would be screaming about how SOVs don't economically sustain the highways. Driving to/from work is a luxury, and we've made it into an unsustainable necessity. I'm saying as bad as you think public transit is in terms of economic viability, SOV use is that much worse. Edit: Let's not forget that lots of transit in the U.S. used to be private too. And they went bankrupt because governments started spending a ton of money building roads to compete with them. This is still going on now, except government is running both now (See: Translink).
  6. You're not even making an argument. You're trolling a ridiculous position. Even Hong Kong's transit system's profits arise from real estate development, and not ridership. Should the whole world ditch transit?
  7. It is. I'd like to see him defend the position that single-occupancy vehicle users can economically sustain the current highway system.
  8. Let me frame this correctly. Building roads and highways to support regional movement of goods and freight makes sense. EXPANDING it so everyone can drive around in their Camry is not sustainable.
  9. Have you ever tried driving around L.A.? P.S. What makes you think building highways is economically sustainable?
  10. http://www.news1130.com/news/local/more.js...703_152026_6036 lol
  11. love ur sig...it's hilarious =P

  12. What's up Iranians? That's probably the only part of the world right now that's late night.
