  1. How is the argument of equal opportunity doesn't mean equal outcome a false argument? It is literally the foundations of life. So do we need equal outcome in hockey? Why is it fair that Luongo got to play in the NHL and I didnt? I put in the hard work too. Vicki Sonohara? Why didn't she get to play in the NHL? Its because we simply weren't good enough. Just like some of the people who Trudeau picked that resigned because they were in over their head and not QUALIFIED or lost confidence in Trudeau and his Globalist agenda.
  2. Eh. I think its more to do with the hypocrisy of it all that has people upset. To be honest, I just love watching Liberals devour any of their own that show weakness. They are like piranhas. What Trudeau did is not racist, nor do I believe him to be. He's entitled and narrow minded, but not racist... But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy watching him squirm. Makes me a feel a little better about the Carbon Tax scam.
  3. Yea. Because it is absolutely irresponsible to pick a group of leaders based on their race and gender rather than asking the real question. Are you the most qualified? Instead of asking "But are they brown?" It's silly, as in, stupid.
  4. Acted that way? She was being muzzled when she wanted to oust corruption. Trudeau was even found of wrong doing by the ethics commissioner over the whole matter with SnC. As for the diversity in parliament, if it ended up that way fo non bias reasons, cool. But to pick a diverse cabinet for the sake of diversity is just silly, and it leads to more gender politics.
  5. Women are actually 51% of the population and there a lot more reasons than simply crying "patriarchy" as to why women were misrepresented. How about the way Trudeau handled Jody Wilson? He clearly lacks a level of respect. He just knows how to conduct himself in public, very well. And just because someone is possibly misrepresented doesn't mean you should just make the cabinet 50 50 for that reason. Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcome and you can't have both, and to strive for both is dangerous.
  6. Saying anti abortionists can't run is discrimination. There's an argument to be made on behalf of anti abortions. Also Scheer is a devout Christian and is entitlted to his beliefs of same sex marriage and abortion laws. He has already openly stated he won't outlaw either. Picking a cabinet based on race and gender is a fools game, and look how many have resigned under him. I want the best leading Canada, not the most diverse. I could give a rats tail what colour you are, just do your job properly. Something Trudeau failed to do here. He's more interested in pandering to a radical minority in a parade than going to the waterless areas of Canada. It's a side show.
  7. He is the correct person to say is failing as a leader today. He gets paid to fix these problems and accept onus.
  8. Systemic Oppression doesn't exist, you cannot provide one example of modern systemic oppression in Canada. There is none. And the opportunities are there, but unfortunately they are not yet there for everyone, and this is a failure by our government. That being said, if this was such an important matter among the First Nations why did they do nothing to help each other? Where did all the money go? Just because there was a failure on one end doesn't mean there is no fault to the other side. Move to a place with water; unite a front to pipe your own water. People use to walk across continents don't tell me you can't resettle. There are options. I know I wouldn't stay in those conditions. No I don't. I complain that Trudeau will spend more on helping bring in more immigrants and making them Canadian citizens than actually providing for the citizens he has. It has nothing to do with taking opportunities but rather focusing on an outside problem before an internal issue. In this case they are both human right issues at the core. I also am talking about the majority, not the exception. A majority of First Nations have access to the privileges I pointed out and a majority don't use them. Even if there was no monetary incentive, shouldn't an education be incentive enough? Shouldn't you want to better yourself? So ya, I champion personal responsibility. Because Trudeaus job is to lead the damn country and to delegate. He is failing in that respect and therefore is failing his people. Not once did I say its Trudeaus fault that the First Nations are in the predicament they are in. I just said Trudeau, who's JOB is to delegate people to important societal tasks, has failed to do so in a timely matter therefore breaking a campaign promise that garnered the vote of the Indigenous people. You fail to understand what Im saying because you're putting words in my mouth.
  9. I guess it kind of is a bit of a bootstrap paradox, but not really... The tools are there, for the most part. If that's what you were referring to, of course.
  10. Yea, I do, because ultimately you are in charge of you and your outcome. Sometimes you have to do the tough thing instead of waiting for someone else to fix it.
  11. I appreciate your post. I think for myself I'm a little tired and impatient with the response I generally receive for having my views. Politically I am centre with right leaning tendancies on things such as banning "hate" speech, gun control, etc.. So I get attacked verbally quite often... I let myself get dragged down a bit here and was more interested in saying "you're wrong" than explaining my position. As for how to fix it. We can't, and that's the sad truth. You can't undo all the harm done by the ignorant of the past, but you can move on. There needs to be a shift in their culture where a generation stands up and says enough is enough, and changes. The incentives are there... Also to touch on that I did explain that the educational incentives were available to most, not all. The boards, I also mentioned, and they are just as open to corruption as the Chief is. It's a messed up system. I think the Canadian government should stop treating them like "Natives" and start treating them like humans. We can build this highway upgrade in Victoria but we can't get water to all our citizens?!? It's laughable. And we allow this to happen by electing ideologistic fools like Trudeau who is more invested into immigrating in his votes with a globalist agenda than helping his own people. /endbakedrant
  12. I think they were mostly trying to pull the trump tactic of let the Liberals/Democrats lose the election rather than try to win. Though I think Scheer is unfairly judged for his religious beliefs. He's a devout Christian, but he has accepted he was on the wrong side of history for a few things. (Same sex marriage, complete banning of abortions, etc.) It wouldbe career suicide to attempt to outlaw those things again. It's just a shame the right tends ignore climate change... Even if we are wrong about it, the worst thing we could do is clean up our planet.
  13. Absolutely. In all forms of government. Conservatives and Liberals alike. But especially particular Chieftans. A good friend of mines dad was the Chief of his band in Chemainus. He explained a lot of the corruption and how some bands see more money than others depending on relationships with the Head Chief or their boards. I won't get into the male privilege but everyone should be cautious at night when walking alone. Especially in todays age.
  14. Rumours are just rumours. This year has had more whiffs than hits... By a lot. I'm have a hard time trusting the pundits this season.
  15. Neither of you have said anything of substance, at least Philip responds level headedly and makes me think about what I said.
  16. I disagree with you, therefore I should forfeit my healthcare and right to use basic infrastructure. And I'm the crazy one.
  17. Sorry, I guess I got caught up in the verbal onslaught and started lumping opinions. I agree with you, but Trudeaus government has not done any where close to enough. Harper's did nothing. The First Nations communities should have banded together to help each other rather than rely on their past oppressors current governing bodies. I brought up the Federal money because I believe it to be squandered when it could have been used to correct these issues internally. Well ya... All the time. I am asked to everytime someone says I have male privilege or white privilege. It's insulting. Also, ma dude... You said I had no point and then agreed with my point xD.
  18. Don't have a hernia. There's the difference between you and I. I don't get emotional over this stuff. I wish you well.
  19. No, but do you think giving more money to their Chiefs is going to fix the problem? My point still stands. There is no systemic oppression Canada, and socialism doesnt work. I'm just not going to feel morally responsible for any of it.
  20. No. It's seeing the world for what it is. A huge mess that gen x and the baby boomers created.
  21. Exactly, and I took mine into my own hands despite my struggles in life. I've lived on my own since I was 16 and had alcoholic and drug addicted parents. So ya, I don't sympathize, but I have empathy to these people. Sometimes the truth is crass and hurtful.
  22. Why didn't the First Nations use that money to build infrastructure? Why didn't they lease out their lands and let white people build on it and then take the land back with the infrastructure already built? Why don't they monetize their lands and use that money to provide water to their people. Take their lives into their own and hands and accept that you are responsible for you and your outcome. Dont put your life in the hands of someone else, especially your oppressors. Also, don't continue to hate those who had nothing to do with said oppression and have voted for change in your favour.
  23. "Liberals and SnC have been linked finacially for decades" "Ya but they gave them money and made these bribes to Libya when Harper was in power, so its the conservatives fault" K
  24. Because thats what this culture is all about. Blame everyone else for your problems. Its cool to say its all white peoples fault that First Nations incurred all those atrocities. But hey, don't generalize all the Natives by saying they arent using the tools in front of them. You're basically saying "Hey we f***ed up and let our governments do all this stuff, but its up to you to fix it all, and the housing market, and inflation... And over fishing, and.... And... And its your fault by the way, you should feel responsible. Oh and you have this invisible privilege that you can't use."
