Bauer just took the ovation the wrong way too. When asked about waving to the crowd, he said it was the loudest ovation he's ever had after an outing...and said it was classy on the fans when he was coming out due to injury.

Ye so far the Jays deserve to lose this game and series. I'm not even mad at this point.
Couldn't ask for a better opportunity and their botching the chance. Big bats all trying to play hero. I know they never bunt but just make contact ffs against these relievers. Going at it full swing clearly hasn't worked this series so simmer down a bit and try hitting a single/double for a change.
Embarrassing.

Fracking idiot. Jays fans cheered as Bauer left the mound in support of him, one of those classy sporting gestures by the crowd. Announcer says heading to commercial break that it's not good to cheer for a guy heading out due to injury / he thought the Jays fans were taking the piss and rubbing it in.
...the American viewers down south, I bet cause of this idiot they'll be think the same thing now. Misconception at it's worst. Idiot announcer. Bauer even acknowledged the crowd heading off. Howtf does one - especially the commentator - not get that; beyond me...

Crazy bizarre to say the least.
Never want to see this happen to anyone and wish Bauer a speedy recovery and all. But for the Jays sake, this can be huge. Bullpen day for the Indians. If the Jays can win and wear out a number of their arms back their, could be a long term effect for the remainder of the series.
