    So how's this for a story line. Canada doesn't get gold. USA gets gold, Kesler Olympic MVP.

    After Olympic break Canucks play above average and squeak in 8th spot. Luongo with a fire under his ass Carrys the team on a magical run. Sedins take lesser rolls and relish. Kesler continues his Olympic beastly play in the playoffs and turns into the teams new top line star.

    The rest is up to you!

    Good thing about Rogers taking over hockey broadcasts is that probably Cherry will retire. The bad thing is the plugs that they have on Sportsnet might be even worse.

    don cherry retiring is not a good thing. sure he is opinionated and sometimes a bit stubborn with his archaic thinking ways..

    but he is a canadian legend and it will be a sad day when he is done.

    i honestly don't even know what to say about this team anymore...wtf happened to the twins...i mean...when was the last time we saw some sedin magic???Just pray we don't become Calgary :sadno:

    i am excited for this...

    some like to rag on gillis and call him a "lame duck" gm. but in reality, he inherited a good team. He made the smart move by playing safe and only making supporting moves, look at how much success we have had.

    he has also made bold moves before which made this core better, such as sundin and demitra. Now this is Gillis' time to really put his stamp on the Vancouver Canucks.

    I understand not every move worked out perfectly, or at least instantly, and he has moved some fan favourites. but isnt that being bold? I believe in Mike Gillis, let the man who iced the most successful team in Canucks history... do it again.

    Wow. I guess you are hoping the Canucks never do well again, and gawd forbid they ever win a Stanley Cup. They'd have so many bandwagoners it would make you sick, eh?

    ignorant comment... we are hockey fans, thats why we are on this board...

    everyone and their dog wants to be a hawks fan right now, even people who dont know anything about football... nobody likes a bandwagoner,
