    Sure the hit on him early in the first period was a little late, but it wasn't exactly a crime, for the Refs to then turn around and call every infraction exactly by the book (while ignoring the Pens infractions) is bogus.

     

    I watched the Refs call  everything against the Canucks... meanwhile with the exception of the one Pettersson drew, there was clear blindness towards all the Pens hooks/hacks/obstruction.  Especially in the 3rd period when the Canucks put on a push, the Refs put away their whistles.

     

    The other half of the coin is that when a coach sees the Refs doing this, he has to tell his players to be extremely careful about doing anything which gives the Refs an excuse.  Which Green didn't seem to be concerned about at all.  The Canuck players continued to provide the Refs with the reasons to call a penalty.... and I didn't see Green do anything.

     

    There was also the usual mixmaster blender of lines from Green.  He never settled on any one line... despite the fact the Pettersson/Boeser/Miller combination was playing well.

     

    Overall, I do think the Canucks put out an effort... I don't agree with the fans booing or throwing jerseys on the ice.  That is just classless.

     

    The problem is behind the bench, jumping on the players is stupid.

     

    This team also needs some toughness... THE FACT MAC AND GADJ ARE GONE AND HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED IS PART OF THIS TEAM'S FAILURE.

I'd hate to hear "Fire ----" chants or see jerseys thrown on the ice. The coaches and players are already struggling in a very public way and don't need another thing to stress them out.     Think about how the players will feel - yes, they make a lot of money, but they're also under immense pressure everyday and are playing their hearts out. I'm no fan of Green as a coach, but he comes across as a genuinely nice person. And remember how Jim Benning mentioned that the "Fire Benning" banner affected his family more than it did him.

     

    Please, no matter what happens, remember that the GM, coach, and players are human beings who are trying their best. Let's show that we are a classy hockey market who will support our team in tough times.

     

    Lol please be civil? You mentioned the fact they get paid millions - that is why they should be under immense scrutiny for underperforming. 

     

    Let's show support and hold their hands when the team in tough times? Aquallini would sure hope every fan is like you
