  1. I would be very happy with either of these two and it seems most likely.
  2. I guess you arent able to read a stat sheet. Nor answer why he is a better pick than Nylander. You conveniently ignore Nyander in your weak mind games. Ehlers stats are self explanatory. . More goals, more points better playoff , in spite of the fact it was only his first year in NA. You realize the OHL scored 6.9 goals per game and the QMJHL scored 6.8 You are cherry picking parts of an argument and ignoring everything else .....for the sake of arguing. You arent much good at this son.. Stick to whoring for Ritchie. Or have you thrown him under the bus full time now?
  3. Nobody is going to convince me Nylander is a higher risk of a pick than Ritchie or Virtanen We are picking 6th and he has to be the guy we take if the top 5 go as planned. The guys size or his NA game wasnt my major concern. It was a 2nd concern but lots of Swedish players convert. It was his attitude . Once we saw how professional the kid was, it was a no brainer for us.
  4. Hyperbole. The cornerstone of every winning rebuttal. I dont think he is better than Ehlers- or Nylander. I appreciate your glowing endorsement of him though. It read like a brochure.. Ehlers had a better year. I think both Nylander and Ehlers are better prospects.
  5. Done. You want fries with that?
  6. You dont know what they really believe. Its what you want to believe. Coming in here and waving the pom poms is not the same thing as honestly assessing the roster. I think if we looked at the last 3 years, even outsiders can see this is not a playoff team anymore.
  7. Why dont we look at this from the other way around. Instead of from 6th to 2nd, the Canucks will trade from 6th to 10th. What would we want from the Ducks to give them the 6th pick ? I would want Etem , the 24th and the 10th for it. Maybe we could throw in the 66th pick.
  8. Sutter is a capable 25 year old 3rd liner with upside and Corrado is a 5th round draft pick who inst developed into an NHL player yet. Do you take this deal if you are Buffalo?
  9. I doubt that. They are , however, required to convince us that they think so.
  10. This. Bennett might fall all the way down to 6th. I pray not. I would like Draisaitl as well but Dal Colle is more realistic in my mind.
  11. I agree but 43 for Virt is a little insulting to the guy. He wont make it past 15 at the most I dont think.
  12. This is how I feel about it as well. What the Panthers and Sabres are asking for those picks is not worth giving up. Reinhart is not that much better than the player we can get at 6th. This is why both of those teams are eager to deal. The package is worth more than the pick
  13. Like I wrote earlier, I qualify Schroeder, then put him on waivers to clear and send to Utica.
  14. We arent getting Virtanen unless we get a second first rounder so there isnt much point discussing him until then. I would like to snag the guy with the 36th overall pick . Button feels he isnt even worth that but I would risk it. I would put the guy with the twins because his IQ is so low he might forget to take his skate blades off (again) . Like you said, he needs a good center like Henrik to spoon feed him opportunities or he will turn into Taylor Pyatt. Hey, if Pyatt can net 23 with the Sedins, no reason why Virtanen cant snipe 15 or so.
  15. Thanks. i am not against Power Forwards and bowling balls like Virtanen. I would rather have high end skill instead. Especially 4 years from now when the twins decline.
  16. Dont forget Matthias as well. The Kings and Rangers have a grand total of ZERO true drafted powerforwards. Neither do the ducks and neither do the Hawks. The Bruins have 1. I think we need to take the BPA but I no longer think its going to be Ehlers. If the top 5 holds we take Nylander.
  17. I dont understand Buttons rankings but some have stepped in to claim he has a method to his madness. ISS still is crazy about Fabbri and Perlini too.
  18. Yes you did. You DO still think its a big deal. If you enjoy arguing the exact same points with the exact same people over the exact same players you did 30 pages ago that is. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting different results. Have at it kiddo. Fight the good fight.
  19. There is little difference (if you take out ekblad as a defenseman) between Reinhart, MDC, Bennett, Draisaitl, Nylander , and Ehlers. Not worth parceling out useful assets to move up a few spots.
  20. I think you answered your own question. Unless you like to argue for the sake of it.
  21. Are you honestly going to sit there and tell us this is the first time you have had this argument?
  22. I dont buy that. What does 'doing all he can' entail? Call Florida and ask what there price is. Done in about 20min if a deal was to be made. I doubt we move up in the draft . The top forwards are not that much different in quality from Reinhart to Ehlers. Who knows which one is going to be the best of the litter. We will get a quality forward. Tallon knows this. This is why he wants to trade down.
  23. You have an unrealistic view of Ritchie and Virtanen. As much as I applaud you cherry picking a post from April and dragging it all the way out here, its unwise to ever plan your hockey team based on what another team looks like right now. We need to draft the best player avail to take a notable spot on the team starting in 2017 or 18. We dont need to worry about what the Ducks or Kings look like in 2014 or any other team. At our spot its going to be Draisaitl , Nylander or MDC. If not them Ehlers would be the alternative to that but I doubt it will come to that. Forget Ritchie and Virtanen. We arent taking them at #6. Period. There is no scenario where we take those 2 players over the 4 mentioned above.
