  1. nope just saying teams are all different when it comes to rookies some throw them straight into the lineup others send them back to junior or sometimes able to send them to AHL i think if they are Euro

end of the day nobody knows who the better pick is yes it's easy to watch Val playing scoring goals putting up points in the NHL level still isn't that black and white on who the better pick was after 1 year

We won't know until Horvat plays and that's my point. You and many others said Horvat wasn't ready then clearly at this point and time Nicuhskin is better because he was ready at the NHL level.

My whole idea like other teams, you gotta simply play your young guys that have potential. Playing another year at junior level where Horvat has already proven himself in and has done great, won't get you any more ready for the jump to the NHL. You get NHL ready by playing in the NHL.

  2. Benn didn't play in the WHL until he was 18....he didn't feel he was ready/good enough. Strange for such a talented guy to lack confidence like that.

Lucic got looked over for junior hockey, I believe he was passed over in the WHL draft and was ready to quit hockey entirely.

He had every reason to quit, thinking "if I can't even get drafted to the WHL, what chance in the world do I have at making the NHL"....

    Never quit people!!

  3. You think this creates a goalie controversy for LA? Martin Jones not a bad alternative.

Not a chance, Quick is their guy, and has earned the right to have a few bad games. It is so hard to be consistent as a goalie for that long especially in the playoffs. I don't think Quick will ever have the performance he did in 2012 again.

It would be a huge slap in his face if he doesn't start next game and beyond to finish the series, win or lose.
