  1. I totally believe he wants out. He's contemptuous of the city, the nation, and his teammates, and has an inflated ego which makes him think he deserves to be on a "contender" and not a team in the midst of a rebuild, or whatever you want to call this.
  2. Kesler is clearly hedging his bets. He's saying all the right things to the media because if no trade happens he doesn't want to be viewed as that guy who doesn't really want to be here. I'm convinced that if the right deal was presented to him, he'd take the first flight out of town.
  3. That will happen, guaranteed. Pretty soon there will be a substantial contingent demanding that he jersey be removed from the rafters of Rogers Arena.
  4. Anyone seen Tap Dat Booty, Vol. 6? It's all kinds of awesome.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if Henrik lit it up at the Olympics. He loves the soft European game on the big ice.
  6. Goaltending has rarely been this team's problem, regardless of who has been in net. It's lack of offence, lack of skill and finish, lack of physical toughness, lack of grit and pushback, and lack of heart.
  7. He's probably 5'10". Most guys under 6' lie to make them appear closer to 6', which makes sense because it is hard to to be intimidated by a "man" under 6'.
  8. I just wiped my a$$ with my Kesler jersey.
  9. Another concern if the Sedins are declining is if Daniel is declining at a faster rate, as it appears. It is a concern because they both elevate each other's play and the sum has always been much greater than the parts. If Daniel is on a sharper decline then he will drag down Hank with him and before long they'll be 2nd line players and it won't matter any longer who the 3rd member of the line is.
  10. That's my actual last name...it's Spanish.
  11. Why do you care what others around the league think of the Canucks? Who cares? Do you think Chicago and Boston care what others think of them? Abosolutely not. They have more important things to do, like winning Stanley Cups. If you want to be a nice guy, buy your kid a shiny new bike or take your grandma out for lunch, but please stay a million miles away from hockey.
  12. Yes, those are traits people respect, but not in sports. Sports is a results based buisiness. Win and all is forgotten. Who wants to be a loser AND a nice guy to boot? That's like having two strikes against you. In sports, we respect the people who go down swinging. Your attitude guarnatees this will be a Stanley Cup free zone in perpetuity...hey, but at least you can sleep at night...lol.Oh, and by the way, you say people don't respect power. Rather, you say that respect is earned. Again, we are talking about different arenas. Sure, you must earn respect in a businiss or professional environment. But, you must not have played conact sports in your life, because I guarantee you after an opposing player caves in your skull with an elbow you'll have a whole new respect for that guy; I dare say he may even have earned your respect, because if he hasn't the next elbow is likely to end your career. This is why players repsected Scott Stevens...to not do was to risk being killed.Stick to golf.
