I don’t normally like to make trades within the division, but thanks to @Jaku for smooth/quick negotiations. We had an abundance of dmen and were looking to deal 1 and this deal kind of fell in to our laps. We wish Ryan all the best in Anaheim. We are happy to welcome Tim and Riley to the team. We are excited to watch Riley develop. Tim we hope will either get a chance or get dealt to a team looking for a decent pp qb. We feel he still has something in the tank.

Want to say thanks to @Sygvard and @Sestito'sHandMadeVodka for the negotiations. Originally this started as being for a Backup goalie, but then it went to adding Connor Carrick. We are happy to add another young d-man who seems to have found his groove with a new team and has fit in well, as well as a younger goalie getting a 2nd chance with what I would consider one of the top teams in the NHL. We hope he has many showings like he did the other night and will help contribute in our chase for the CDCPuck Cup! Welcome to Vancouver Connor and Laurent. We thank Buffalo for taking 2 dead space contracts as well. We had hoped Martin would have been able to resume his career somewhere but clearly that was not in the cards. Lorito was a long shot that we took a chance on a couple years ago and has not fit in. We wish them the best!

Here in Tampa we are pretty happy with our start. We feel we have a team to compete this season and look to build on it. Oshie and Ferland are fire to start the season. To think I was close to trading Ferland in the off-season.... sure glad I didn’t! Offseason acquisition of Lindholm looks great at this point! The beast Stamkos will start producing soon as well. Excited for the season to unfold
