You can't be so naive as to think that Frankie, possibly the most hands on owner in the NHL, didn't approve a deal of this magnitude before it happened.
Jim agrees on a deal that he thinks can improve our team, presents it to the owner, the owner approves.
It’s a horrible deal which would have not happened if we had a new gm

Only person to blame if Frankie. His cheap ass didn’t fire Jim and not it resulted to this

God awful. Perfect example of gm saving is Job. Those contract came of the books in a year a year.

We were all happy that those awful contracts were coming of the books next year and guess what Jimbo does goes out and gets a contract that is 10 times worse than Erikkson. Benning bros can’t even defend this.
all of this is that cheap pathetically owners fault . He stuck with Jim and Canucks fans are paying the price of an inept band incompetent gm who has no clue in what he is doing. He needed to be fired when this season ended but unfortunately we made that mistake and now are suffering.

Luongo was eligible for LTIR but he decided against it. It was better for Florida for him to retire than go on LTIR. The Canucks had no say in the decision because they traded him.
But Weber wants to retire but the league is investigating it so it can be put on LTIR so Nashville voids the penalty

Another cap circumvention contract that will not get penalized because he will retire due to injury instead of riding out his contract.
The worse thing is he wants to retire but Gary is investigating it to see if it can be put on LTIR so that a American sunbelt team doesn’t get it
-
Why couldn't the NHL not investigate the Luongo and see if he could be put on LTIR. The thing is now it's going to hammer an American , an American team in the sunbelt and now all of sudden Gary is worried and he investigating it?
-
Luongo body didnt allow him to play either. That rat is once again helping a American team in the sunbelt compared to a Canadian team.
-
If Weber retired and Nashville ( a sunbelt team) void the cap recapture penalty, I sure hope Francesco and Jim go to Gary and raise he'll say we are suing for ass and filing for grievence

Hot Garbage
Not surprised that the cheap owner went this route since he had these laying round in a garbage dumpster at Rogers arena.
