  1. Is anyone else absolutely enthralled watching Etem and Burrows play on the same line?

It's like the master and the apprentice at work, same erratic skating + stick swinging motion except one is just bursting with life while the other is showing clear signs of aging.

I'd be REALLY interested to see Etem play with the Sedin's right now. He has the right mix of feistiness, puck possession, and ability to find the open spots on the ice to perfectly emulate Burr's game in his prime.

Hansen is a cog that will fit in wherever he's placed, so with the season all but in the books it would be nice to test out potential chemistry (SSE) leading into next year.

My dad is in intensive care.  The doctors told us today that there is nothing else they can do.  I am at home right now.  I thought I would be better if I got home, but I am not.  I have not really slept nor ate for days, and am not in the right state of mind, and keep walking around my apt at a loss, and hoping on the Internet, trying to calm myself.

My condolences. I'm not very good at these things, but if you need someone to talk to PM me.

  3. My dad died last night, I have no idea where to start or what to do. It's just me my sibling and my mom right now.

People will be depending on me to be the man of the house...

Can start with Palme d'Or winners:

Canadian Denis Villeneuve, before he started directing blockbusters, has a solid list of Canadian-based films.

    Thanks! I'll check those out.

any genre, region, or period preferences?

Not really, I've been mainly dabbling in European movies though. I guess I'd prefer not to watch any black and white/silent films unless intentional...

Boeser plays the game more like a pro then a lot of the other junior prospects. He lets the game come to him instead of taking himself out of position by chasing pucks. He needs a bit better anticipation, but overall I think he will be a useful winger in the NHL.

He doesn't chase the puck down if the play isn't their, but he will probably need to skate harder on the forecheck. I really think he will excel under Travis Greene though. Hope he is able to get some coaching from him.

This is what I see too. He has a legitimate reason for the poor translation of his game to big ice with his style of play. I'm not worried about him at all. The only that's kind of bugging me is his when he gets the opportunity to shoot it flies over the net A LOT. I guess we could chalk that up to nerves but still.

  6. It's really sad, I didn't like Virtanen but I had hope he'd at least come close to Booth pre-concussion. His low hockey IQ is holding him back immensely. If Canada wants to go far in this tourney they're going to have to run 3 lines. Virtanen being on the fourth.

Will be interesting to see how Jake responds to being demoted and playing a lot less structured hockey.  In juniors and WJC its like a loose cannon, and not a whole lot of structure.  Where in the pros, it is all about systems, structure.

For me Jake needs to keep skating.  When he is moving his feet, he is at his best, but he doesn't do it often enough.

It's not like he was playing with much structure when he was here either. Always in the right place spatially but not mentally. He just needs to start engaging himself in plays and stop puck watching.

With his draft pedigree and skillset he should dominate this tournament. And by dominate I don't mean hit things and then go for a change.

  8. Anyone have or planning on picking up BO3 in the future? I'm having a lot of fun with the game right now. I only played Ghosts and AW for a couple of weeks before getting bored but I think this one will last me at least till the next Treyarch game.

I'm still pretty rusty but I'd love to run with a party in TDM and Search and Destroy matches.

A lot easier than it is a true power forward

Gaudreau, Johnson, Kucherov, Hoffman, Panarin, ETC

Now give me a list of true powerforwards who put up 50+ points a year who were drafted after the 1st round

.............. Lucic.......... and thats about it LOL

    Panarin and Johnson weren't drafted.
