He did lots of grown up man stuff last night. I saw nothing different.
He's become a spokesman for the team, a director of play out there on the ice (that his teammates seem to respond favourably to).
He honestly is already taking on captain responsibilities.
Time will tell

JTM is going nowhere and should be the next captain.
Worst thing that could happen in my opinion. Well unless he grows up and acts like a man.

It turns into a MNTC after the first 4 years.
My bad I thought MNTC was/is as soon as the extension date is passed.

With the rate contracts continue to rise in the NHL, do you think an 8 million per season contract is going to be a lot in 5-7 years from now?
The only thing I worry about is the ntc.The cap isn’t the issue, I’m not a believer that JTM is the player we need.

Just like pretty much every player on the team. Not many are untouchable. Like I said, he is not perfect, but we currently have pretty slim pickings at the moment. There are so many that need to go before him at this point.
I’d like him gone before that contract kicks in.

Well for starters OEL is good with the puck on his stick. He’s pretty good in the O-Zone and he gets his shots through. Last year he was a lot better defensively so I have reason to believe a player doesn’t decline this much in one year
He takes far too long with the puck on his stick , loses it or ices the pass.can’t hold the blue line in the O and defensively…. He’s a pylon. Or he takes a penalty for hooking. But yes he’s not going anywhere. Bennings biggest blunder as GM .

OEL needs a good D partner. He’s not going anywhere. Management needs to play him with someone that compliments his strengths
Tough call, let’s start out with what a strength of his might be.

Damn Myers and his mom look very similar

Pls pls pls be true. Trade Miller now, his contract and his personality is gonna be toxic. Starting now

Definitely not the problem. 2 overpaid low iq defence man in OEL and Myers is a start

Terribly officiated game. Totally unfair. Homerism at its worst. We were a way better team. Thank goodness Horfat is gone! Our guys played hard and better without him.
Ya it’s because Horvats gone. What a joke. They are playing Tochett hockey now.

Nice job, love millers stellar performances on the PK . Why are he and OEL ever out on PK….OEL on 3v3. Jesus ????

Considering JR has been the only President this owner has had that could make him listen to reason, it would be a big loss if he steps away. But Allvin has been winning his deals (especially the Bo one! Got great return and dodged a contract demand from a selfish player) so I’m sure he will continue to do great for us and build us another great team, like Gillis did.
Lmao selfish player. He deserves this contract. His will work out way better than Vans (selfish) miller deal over time.

Flashed in my head. Miller gets traded , Bo signs 7x7.5 as a ufa this summer. There’s still a chance ….. then reality set in. Good luck Bo, I’ll be watching more Ilanders games in the future.

I actually think this is a pretty dam good trade.
I loved Bo at times, but the idea and reality of Bo, as i've said before, were not always the same. If we had signed him for 8M + you can bet he would be back at 20g 60pt next year.
Ratu i really wanted in the draft - i followed him really closely that year, and he artificially tanked his standings from consensus first over all to 2nd round pick due to not putting up points but still playing a tight defensive game. I still thought he would go top 15 and was fuming when we missed him in the 2nd. Next season he tore it up and was back to Blue chip status - i haven't really followed his progress in NA as closely but his stats show he is still trending well. Big unit of a C who can play shutdown with some serious offensive upside on his day.
I think he can make an impact next year and is cost controlled for 2 more years.
1st is all good.
Disappointing we couldn't have got a decent D prospect out of it instead of Beauvillier but we could probably flip him, or he could provide cover for losing Garland + Brock at the TDL. Its not a home run - but I think its one of the better realistic packages i saw floating around. Better than the Boston and Car ones IMO at least
We are only 1M better of in the cap next year as a result if we can't flip Beau or some of the other overpaid wingers tho - which limits our ability to rebuild the D.
We don't get strong this year - we get A LOT weaker which helps team Tank.
Its and change and this team badly needed one - bringing back Bo + the rest of the core would have produced the same results. Its the retool we needed... in hindsight tradiing Miller would have been better - but this years Miller is likely next years Bo if he had stayed, and Maybe JT steps up now Bo has gone - lots of smoke about those two not getting on.Some smoke about others not getting along with Miller also. JT better step up and better yet man up to prove management choose the correct player to retool with. Who will be the temp captain until we get past this years sh!Tahoe and maybe next? Pls don’t make Petee captain during this mess.
