I wouldn't call him the steal of the draft; he is one of the few later picks that are rising above expectations. Out of the NCAA notables in that draft, I would say he ranks behind only Kyle Connor.
To be quite honest... anything can be said when the player haven't even played a single NHL game yet. It is far too early to say Nylander would not need to be sheltered.
Would be interesting to see where Benning had him ranked in the draft. By repeatedly saying he "fell" to the Canucks implies he had him ranked before 23rd.

Despite having no points, singled out along with Schmaltz as being deadly all game.
Seems to rotate between 2C and 3C (based on face-offs taken). However, he plays on the 1st PP unit and seems to be buried by a front-loaded top line during 5v5.
How is his defensive game and does he PK at all? I know his plus-minus is insane right now, but that could be misleading due to deployment etc. Thanks for the gifs again!
