  1. That is baffling. He is not inspiring any confidence with his play so far. But I think Your logic for Schmidt can and should be applied to Hughes too. Yes even though he’s also playing poorly he has shown far better In the past. To me Hughes playing at the top of his game is a better defender than Schmidt at his best.
  2. Uhm he’s definitely better than Schmidt who’s running a pizza delivery service back there with all the horrid giveaways
  3. Every team goes through a cycle of being good and being very bad. Many of us thought we were past that point in our cycle but for whatever reason(S) weak coaching, systems employed, lack of practice time, too many games in a short time, new players, weak coaching, Dip in goaltending performance, poorer défense etc etc is all adding up to give us this product on the ice. I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe it’s no one persons fault the shortened season is just exposing our weaknesses and making them more pronounced. These guys have little room to breath right now, but hope they get their mojo back in time.
  4. Wow Schmidt is being exposed badly in Vancouver for his non existent defensive capabilities. No wonder Caps left him exposed, Vegas upgraded on him .. very disappointing
  5. Watch that play. And then watch it again but this time try to locate Poldkozin on the breakout. Watch carefully as he makes a strong play to Stick check Take the puck away and a Let go of a great wrister to finish the play.
  6. We have the whole league right where we want them, believing we are a crap team before surging back to go on a huge run. Good plan boys!
  7. He can buy his way there! Puck placement on the forecheck and our forwards ability to get after the puck with speed is what leads to those checks you’re talking about. Maybe these guys aren’t executing properly but it doesn’t help when the entire league has countered our systems and we haven’t been able to make any noticeable adjustment YET.
  8. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Green gone by tomorrow, but maybe he’s been canned already; his demeanour during the interview said as much.
  9. Bo just closed the book on the coaching staff very intelligently. If anyone’s voice will have influence over what happens next it’ll be Bo’s.
  10. Haha that’s fair. Listening to Bo he kept stressing how the players we have is upto it and how the systems aren’t.
  11. We have several players that are stars who are slumping at the same time. The common denominator is the coaching team through this time. Is there a better option to replace some of them? Hells yeah. Green who is an armature coach unwisely surrounded himself with an amateur coaching staff. with all that said is it worth it to shine the spot light even brighter on our young players? Especially in a season where the coach coming in wouldn’t have much practice time with the team? Having systems is about having a plan that can enable the type talent we have to play at their very best. But when a system and the talent don’t fit the result is this mess we are witnessing. The teams changed, but the coaches and the systems have stayed the same failing to adjust and adapt to the amazing talent coming in. Think about it Petey would have had the same amazing rookie and sophomore season regardless of who the coach was. Quinn would have had the success in his rookie season. On and on we go with all our other players. The out dated systems the Canucks coaching staff has decided to use hasn’t changed with the team, and if not for the talented players we have had coming in the past few years, we would have seen this play out sooner than now. Just looking at the schedule the time to make a change is RIGHT NOW, or the season is lost.
  12. Can we get the coaching staff a taxi and send them packing after the game. Not sure if their replacement will be any better though. Fuvkkklllm
