People are crying over this contract but don't realize after this year Sedins will retire or take a discount. Pettersson, Dahlen, Juolevi, and possibly Gaudette will be on their ELC. By the time they are ready for new contract it will be a tradeable 1 year $6M contract.
Stop complaining, JB knows more thane everyone of you. Kind of the reason he's making millions building this team and not us, get over it.
Wait till Eriksson pots 25-30 goals this year. Then you realize we have a 4 year contract at $6M for a potential 30G scorer.. not to bad anymore right?

I remember JB being surprised Boeser fell to him.. do we have another gem?

Best passer ever based on 1 summer league game? this hurts my soul.
Not based on 1 game. Based on almost every pass he's made. The guy passes people open

Man oh man Ball is something special. Knock his shooting all you want but he may be basketballs best ever Passer... his basketball IQ is off the charts.
And Kuzma was robbery at 27, very impressed with his shooting

Kobe won a finals while averaging 15.6ppg 4.6rebs 4.assists
Kobe won a finals after shooting 6/24
Kobe has won despite shooting 42% in the finals during his career.
All this means is that Kobe has had great teams and great coaching too. Lebron has always taken rookie head coaches to the finals.
As for allstars that's ridiculous. Kobe had some great one's early and always had vet and clutch support. Allstars like Glen Rice and clutch god Robert Horry or defensive stud Ron Harper. Allstars like Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Gasol, Bynum, and Odom! Ron Artest too.
Kobe's had a ton of help just like ALL superstars. Go look up Lakers 80s teams featuring Magic and Kareem. Or Bird's Celtics teams.
Lebron has beat dynasties (Spurs and Gs). That Okc finals team in 2012 was unreal too. Who did Kobe beat? An injured Celtics squad in 09? Who else???
There's a reason people try to compare Lebron to Jordan. Kobe is in a tier lower than those guys.
When LBJ goes solo and starts shooting in clutch moments come back to me.
Bynum an all star? Odom an all star? Like Irving/Love/Wade/Bosh/Allen level? Don't think so.
Gasol was the only real all star to help Kobe.
Kobe shoots more 3's than LBJ. Most of LBJs pts are off of easy layups. LBJ is scared to take clutch shots and if he was the GOAT he wouldn't be scared..
Top of your post is funny.
Kobe won
Kobe won
Kobe won
...
LBJ lost
LBJ lost
LBJ lost
Pretty bad finals record for a GOAT playing with not 1 but 2 or 3 all Stars. And he's got the really easy conference so a season isn't as hard as it is for teams in the west. So he's less fatigued and still losing!
LBJ isnt even the best now, KD showed him up big time

Kobe is 5-2....atleast get it right. Big Kobe fan
Kobe only got 1 mvp in his career. Also was the best player only 2 times out of his 5 wins. Kobe can take his career finals 42% fg average and relax
In 2015 the nba gave Iggy the finals mvp award for kind of attempting to guard Lebron James. Lebron averaged 36ppg 12reb 9assists .
Lebron has led weaker teams and beat better competition in the finals than Kobe ever did. Before you bring up all of Lebron's teammates......Shaq was on a different level!
The clutch thing is so stupid. All the numbers say his clutch time stats are some of the best ever. But haters mainly like Skip Bayless have led this bs nonsense.
How clutch was coming back down 3-1 against the 73 win Warriors?
Did you see that block on Iggy?
That's a joke right? Please tell me that's a joke.
LBJ has never won a ring without atleast 2 other all Stars playing with him.
Miami - Bosh/Wade/Allan
Cleveland - Irving/Love
Kobe had Gasol post Shaq
Kobe wanted to show he could win without Shaw and he did.. LBJ will never leave his all Stars to prove anybody wrong. That's where the greatness differs.
Kobe > LBJ and anyone who thinks differently is nuts.. 5 rings, LBJ won't reach that unless he goes to the Warriors, Lakers, or Spurs

Ingram hasn't really been showing signs of lighting it up. I've probably watched close to 30-40 Lakers game this season and Ingram hasn't show many signs of him lighting it up game by game. Also I doubt George will leave OKC after one year. If you're playing Warriors ball you're going to need consistent shooters first of all, Goerge is the only one in the starting lineup I see that can do that, and the chances of him joining Lakers then are slim.
If your basing off of last season than your not getting a correct reading. He was sheltered last year. If MJ says Ingram is the only untradable player that speaks for how good he really is. He was and maybe still is too small to be as dominate at the NBA level as he can. 1-3 more years Ball and Ingram will be a dynamic duo and they are both very good on the other side of the floor as well. In 3 years we will atleast make a finals, even in this stacked western Conference.
George is coming
Westbrook may follow but he will have to play a team game, he won't be a triple double machine.
LBJ may, hopefully not sign here.
Durant may pull a fast one and bolt to us. Ball is a player he'd love to play with. Highly unlikely but still a slight possibility
At most we can get 2 of these guy, but just PG is fine with me.
Jim Buss isn't here anymore, and Bron Scott is no longer coach.
MJ, Walton, and Ball make players want to play here again.
Ball, Ingram, George, Kuzma, Hart, Nance Jr, and Clarkson can all shoot threes

I can't tell if you're trolling. How do you know George doesn't stay in OKC after this season? If you think that roster is going to beat LBJ or the Warriors, you're crazy. Maybe in like 5-6 years when both are about to leave the NBA.
I'm going to speak it into existance
Call me crazy.... 1 more time

Is this a joke? Lakers have been awful these past few years. How will they make it even close to competing with Lebron anytime soon. With Lonzo Ball? They drafted Russel and Ingram who haven't shown much potential. Russel was a much better player then Ingram then they trade him for a center in a league where centres like Lopez aren't being used much. So please explain this statement you've made a little more.
Even without KD our team is solid after this year. Ingram and Ball will be lighting it up, PG will be here. Randle looks like he's destined to become a very special player, and Lopez is a solid C.
Starting lineup 2018-2019
Ball
George
Ingram
Randle
Lopez
Our bench is what will make us a very scary team to play. Like Walton is going to do wonders with this bench. You have a capable starter in Clarkson, a solid young SG in Hart, Kuzma looks good, Nance Jr is amazing, and Zubac will block everything coming his way.
Clarkson
Hart
Nance Jr
Kuzma
Zubac
I love what MJ and LW are doing with this team. We're trying to play Warrior basketball and I love it. Screw LBJ

You would take Durant but not Lebron on your team. Oh dear gawd. Nba fans have lost it...
And it's not Kobes team. He isn't even the greatest Laker of all time! It's Magic's team.
Btw guess who idolizes Earvin....that dude in Cleveland
LBJ is an over rated bum.
He isn't clutch at all, in fact he won't take clutch shot he hands them to Irving. The best make the most of the clutch moments and No1 was as clutch as MJ or Kobe.
MJ 6-0
Kobe 5-1
What's LBJ finals record?
Oh and before you lay the consecutive finals apparent on me, he has absolutely no competing in the East. LBJ is a bum
Keep him in the East so I can watch him cry when the Warriors/Lakers woop him year after year
-
As much as I know it won't happen, I'd love Durant to pull a fast one and join the Lakers.
Ball
George
Ingram
Durant
Lopez
Clarkson
Hart
Kuzma
Nance Jr
Zubac
Lakers 2018 champs?
I'm so excited to see how the Lakers look in 2018.. just please no LBJ.. Lakers are team Kobe

It sounds like he is going to play in Sweden this year....he would have to gain 20 lbs., at a minimum, over the summer to play in the AHL or the NHL.
He's eligible for Utica. Probably a huge reason he was put ahead of Glass by JB

This just makes the Virtanen pick look that much worse. We could of had Nylander + Glass now we have Petterson + Virtanen
I wanted Makar or Glass, but Peterson is by no means a bad pick.
You realize Pettersson is better than Nylander in their draft year right, and id take Virtanen over Glass. Stop complaining for the sake of complaining. If we had takem Nylander you would be crying for homeboy Virtanen and ramble on about how we needed size because the Bruins bullied us in 2011..
Welcome to Vancouver Pettersson, where you get no love until you become a star

Any trade up would have been a waste of assets considering the number of players falling. This is probably the most interesting draft I've ever seen

Didn't Kopitar go at #11 in his draft year?

I usually defend benning, i cheer hard for guys like Jake to turn it around, I think Juolevi will be a stable and positive contributor on the blue line for years, but when all scouting agencies rank multiple players ahead of Jim's pick, people shouldnt be chastised for wondering WTF.
Because Jim I'd the best at drafting and luckily others don't rank players like Jim does. JB didn't think there was a chance Boeser would fall to us. Luckily he did

Imagine if VGK gets Glass, Vilardi, and Liljegren

Trade Tanev for Liljegren or Vilardi now Benning! .. pretty please
