Great game. Both teams played well. Keller showed why he's such a highly touted player, incredible skill.

UND played well. BU got lucky. 99% of the time you more than double your opponents shot you win.

When will Boeser be teamed with Baertschi and Horvat?

Man Tyson Jost is going to be a gem in the NHL when he is ready to play.  Such a cerebral thinker of the game.

I wanted to trade down for him last year but I am also happy with the Juolevi pick

Can someone confirm if Dahlen is playing C or Wing on his current team??

    If wing then which one?

No we seem to be discussing defence atm.

    Honestly if I knew I'd tell you, but I don't :(

I think most of it was nobody had film on Wentz yet. Lane Johnson was a big loss if the O-line can stay healthy it will help.

Not a fan of Smallwood though think they need a stud #1 RB like Alvin Kamara think he would perfect fit in the Eagles zone run scheme.

The weird thing is the Eagles usually split against the Cowboys and lose both times against the Redskins recently while sweeping the Giants sometimes.

I feel like Eagles are gonna need a new Pass rusher to replace Barwin and help Graham off the edge since the Schwartz scheme doesn't really like to blitz and prefers to try to get pressure with the front 4 d-line alone.

They could use honestly any position besides qb, Safety and Guard,

It's hard to do a mock draft because their obvious needs are CB,RB,DL,WR, OL in that order.

But because the o-line is so old with Peters and Kelce and Barbre. Johnson and Brooks are vets. I know they signed Warmack but all these UFAs are pretty much on 1 year deals.

(Torrey Smith 2 years after this are team options I think)

There is not much youth to build with Wentz  3 years down the line when they are hopefully legit contenders by then to challenge the Falcons,Seahawks, and Packers.

There are no sure things though there is risk Torrey Smith is not what he used to be or Alshon or Lane getting popped again for PEDS.

1 injury/suspension can cause a big chain reaction....

If they are healthy no doubt with the right additions they can compete with the NFC EAST and have a chance to get in the playoffs this year.

I think they go RB CB CB or CB RB CB in the draft.

plus Wentz and Jeffrey is going to be a dynamic duo. then we still have Ertz, Smith, and Matthews. Wentz is going to have a MVP type of season, I don't think that's my bias talking either lol. its going to be a fun season that's for sure!

I love your optimistic view lol.

But honestly the Cowboys and Giants are still better than the Eagles on paper.

Eagles are better than the Redskins.

Eagles need a Stud RB for Wentz and 2 starting level day 1 Outside CBs to compete and Beat the Giants and Dallas.

we were a contender before the Johnson suspension we went 3-0. went on a terrible run while he was gone but when he came back we beat both the Giants and Cowboys. we will exploit the Cowboys D this year and go 2-0 against them, tbh they don't scare me in the least. the only team that really scares me is the Giants as we need CBs to defend their crazy duo in OBJ and Marshall, I think we go 1-1 against them and 2-0 against the Redskins

  6. As an Eagles fan it is going to be a fantastic year for NFC east fans! Wowzers.

    My early predictions:

    PHI 13-3

    NYG 12-4

    DAL 10-6

    WSH 3-13

Eagles beat Patriots 37-30 in superbowl

Well he has over 60pts along with 30+ goals and a handful of games yet to play.

Most would say he is doing quite well.

Lol right back at ya bud

Good to see you had time on your hands to read that far back tho

    It only took 1 click.

That didn't answer my question. Is he better than Gaudette?

Benning is pissing me off. Hes not taking a chance on a homerun pick and keeps takingng safe players. We already have too many of these players

Really don't know why people can't be patient with this kid. Power Forwards usually take longer to develop and mature into their role.

Bertuzzi didn't really hit his stride in the league until he was 25/26.

This kid has all the tools, they are teaching him to have a much rounder game for the team. Show him patience and it will pay off.

man I hope Crawford comes back here next year.. he would do wonders for our young guys. especially Virtanen

A three assist effort by Zhukenov today gives him 17-43-60 in 58 games on the year. He's now exceeded last year's totals in all three categories and extends his point streak to six games (2-8-10). Just six games left in Chicoutimi's season before the playoffs.

He could turn out to be a gem in the later rounds.

    Him, Gaudette, Olsen, McKenzie

Yes he has. We still need our future top 6 C not named Horvat.

You obviously still don't understand my point. I'm quite happy with both trades FWIW.

I really hope we get a top 2 pick this year so we can get that!

    Virtanen 2017 draft Boeser

    Goldobin Horvat Dahlen

  12. Wernt fans also writing off Bertuzzi as well? Power forwards take time to adjust. They go from beating their way through smaller teens to battling a bunch of grown men. It may take him 2-3 years but he WILL be a force. I just hope Benning doesn't trade him before that happens, because we will regret it if we do!

    2020

    Virtanen Horvat Boeser

    Baertschi Granlund Rodin

    Sedin Sedin Eriksson

    Juolevi Gudbranson

    Tryamkin Stecher

    Hutton

    Demko

    Markstrom

Tkachuk will have 3 or 4 seasons of scoring before Joulevi even cracks the line up.

Virtanen vs Tkachuk will be fun to watch in the future. TBH I feel Tkachuk is the most overrated rookie so far. I would have taking Jost over him, mind you I wanted Jost over Juolevi too, but I love the Juolevi pick and can't wait for him to cracks the roster in 2 years!

The fin team had a lot of players that hadn't ever played on north american ice according to olli, they'll be better next time they play canada. Btw jost looks like blue chip.

I really wanted Benning to make a deal to pick him up. Maybe Boeser can convince him to pull a Vesey :)

    Take off your homer glasses.

Age, contract minutes etc are all similar. Gardiner has 14 points and 31 points with a +4 on a crap team. Having to sit through my share of Leaf games he is a solid two-way defender. The Leafs are around mid-pack for goals against. Outside of Reilly / Zaitsev / Gardiner their D is full of young guys and scrubs.

In regards to shot suppression, he is really one of the few players in the league who competes with Tanev and he puts up points. So, what exactly is making you "weak right now"? The fact that he wears a Leaf jersey? Does that make Jake Virtanen better than Auston Matthews? I really dislike the Leafs (and have reason to more than probably anybody on these boards), but as a Canucks fan I think we probably have the worst, most insecure group of fans in the league. It is pathetic.

Anyone in a Leafs Jersey is a joke until they change jerseys. Look at Kessel :)

OK mr. Analytics guy, would you trade Tanev straight up for him?

I am going to put an unusually large amount of hope in to Rodin becoming the scoring winger we all hope he is.  I will accept the risk of disappointment as Canuck fans are so adept at doing.  I have a feeling that he is going to be our third best winger after Daniel and Hansen.  I have no insightful reason for that thought, but it is my gut feeling.

TBH Horvat has been our best forward this year imo. He always impresses me even when we lose badly

  17. 9 minutes ago, canucklehead44 said:

Agreed. A similar comparison would be the Leafs offering Jake Gardiner for Bo Horvat. Jake Gardiner is a good defenseman, but this trade would not be good for the Canucks and as fans we would not be happy about it.

Are you comparing Gardiner with Tanev? Hahahaha I'm actually weak right now

Tanev+Baertschi should be enough to pry Domi and a 6th/7th from the Yotes

With Brock out with surgery and Brisebois a solid maybe for Canada, all my attention is on Team Finland this WJC. Hopefully Olli can rise to the occasion once again and show everyone  (again) why he was considered the best defenseman in the draft last year by many scouts.

    Brisbois was cut :(

They should be ashamed of themselves
