Apparently Bazoer might be going to City as well. Reading that Pep and Begiristain met with his agent when they were in Amsterdam

Now German newspapers are reporting that Gündogan's agent initiated the contact and City isn't really interested in signing him. They pulled off a similar stunt last year, when they initiated contact with Barca and Real. Nobody wanted to sign him last year. Seems as if the same might happen this year. According to those newspapers officials at Dortmund are very positive about him re-signing.

Gündogan's agents are his uncle and his father. Both not really professionals at that job.

By the end of the month I want him to resign or be gone. He wanted out 2 years ago, he wanted out last year and he wants out this year. Everytime he resigned for 1 year. I don't want anything like that this time. Sign him up for 5 years or get rid of him. We carried him through a serious injury and as soon as he's healthy he wants out. Ungrateful sh...

Yes I'm a big fan up to crack the Skye and including that album.  Not so much after.  The heavier grindier earlier stuff I love.  Having said that, crack the Skye is a classic album imo. Definitely shows their talents.

Id say capellarian crest is my fav mastodon tune -  off of blood mountain.  Total brain scrambler.

Didn't like The Hunter as well, but Once More Round the Sun is pretty good. Love me some Asleep in the Deep. But yeah, Crack the Skye is their best effort.

Capillarian Crest is one of my favs, too. A bitch to play on guitar, though.

    I like BVB's chances.

Although I've said that in the past and that been wrong. I'll be wearing the black and yellow on my travels I think. Just need to find a place to watch it.

In Istanbul that shouldn't be much of a problem, we have loads of Turkish fans. If the airport has a sportsbar you'll probably be able to watch it there. No big games on really at that time on Saturday.

  4. Holy crap. If we win the match Saturday the title race will be close again.

Great match today in Darmstadt on a pitch that really didn't deserve the name. Unconventional starting 11 with Passlack, Castro Durm and Ramos starting. Darmstadt basically plays only long balls to their big striker Wagner and goes for the second balls. Terrible to watch, but also terribly effective. Today however, Hummels and Subotic won almost all aerial duels against him so there was no danger in that field. Ramos probably played his best match for us so far.

Best thing: Sahin, Kagawa, Bender, Schmelzer didn't play at all. Mkhitaryan only 20 min. Reus didn't even make the journey to Darmstadt.

So stoked for the match Saturday. Since Bayern's defence basically consists of wing backs and a struggling Tasci, we should be able to score some goals. And our defence this year has been so much better than last year. Atmosphere will be incredible.

  5. Boyhood 9/10

Best coming of age film I have seen

    Dallas Buyers Club 8.5/10

McConaughey and Leto are absolutely fantastic in this. Story is fascinating.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies 6.5/10

Lord of the Rings light version with a bunchload of (very good) CGI.

    Whiplash 8/10

Relationship between teacher and student might be exaggerated, but it makes for a pretty decent movie with a great performance by JK Simmons

    12 Years a Slave 10/10

Touchy subject, brilliantly executed. No flaws in this movie. Ruthless in its execution of the topic. This is a film that has the potential to make a lasting cultural impact in my opinion.

What is going on in the BVB Leverkusen game?

The referee's just done a runner.

Loved it. Schmidt has been complaining all season. Now he got what he deserved. Complained 5 minutes about Auba's goal.

We got a free kick deep in our own half, which we executed about 6 meters from the spot of the initial foul. As it happens in just about every single match. The only exception was that Leverkusen was not quick enough to react. So we scored. Schmidt was furious after that. Ref told him to go to the stands. Schmidt didn't want to. So Ref Zwayer thought, go f yourself, I'm gonna go home if you don't want to leave. ::D

For a team with such a huge, seemingly infinite, budget, Man Utd are a complete embarrassment.

I can only dream of what Celtic could do with the money that they can afford to spend on a single player.

You could apply that to just about any EPL club. But there are a lot of problems in that league, for example the ridiculous amount of matches. It's harder for coaches to set up a real system cause you simply don't have time to do that. So I'm curious to see what Kloppo and Pep can do with basically just a preseason. Both rely on very distinctive systems which need a lot of training and adjustment to get right.

Ya roughly what I thought he would cost to any team in the couple of summer windows. He is only 26 and still has room to grow.  Definitely not coming to man utd and EPL for the time being.  65-75M with bvb scouts and transfer history could make a very scary team.  PSG

Any targets you have in mind for cm?

Haven't given it much thought to be honest. We tried to sign Oliver Torres from Atletico in January. He's talented, but I haven't seen him play in ages. Tielemans would be fantastic but probably too expensive. There's also still a chance Gündogan will resign. He wants to be at a club which is clearly better than Dortmund e.g. Real, Barca and now with Guardiola I could see him go to City as well. If he's not getting an offer from those clubs he will very likely stay. Juve already tried to sign him but he wasn't interested. Our sporting director Zorc said yesterday he's already in talks for an extension with Gündogan.

Curious as you are a bvb fan. How much do you value Aubameyang?

He's probably the best striker we had since Stephane Chapuisat in terms of pure scoring. When he arrived here, he still had some issues with his first touch and in 1 on 1s. Also he was playing wing first. But he's a lot better at both of that now and has found himself a place up front. He has a contract until 2020, so we have absolutely no reason to sell him right now. Also, the market is really complicated this summer with the PL clubs getting that huge amount of money so it won't be easy for us to find a replacement.

If someone wants him this summer, it's going to be very expensive. I think everything below 60 m € will go straight through the shredder. Probably at 70-80 m € I could see us sell him IF we find a replacement in time. But honestly, I think we will sign a young striker during the summer to get some minutes behind Auba and sell him the year after for probably the same amount we would get this summer.

  10. Bundesliga wants to trial video review next year. IFAB only has to approve.

On a sidenote it seems we have signed Spanish defensive midfielder Mikel Merino for next season from CA Osasuna for 3,7 m € + 1,3 m € bonus. Don't know the player really, but I trust our scouts. Now please sign an offensive midfielder and a replacement for Gündogan.

    Adrian Ramos is terrible.

Well, he's most definitely not a midfielder.

Lucky, but deserved win today. Hummels should have been sent off early and that would've been a penalty as well, later he scored an own goal which didn't count (nobody really knows why) and our first goal was offside. But I don't feel too sorry about that. Ingolstadt plays like a Scottish team from the 1980s (no offence, but well... you know... :P ).

Btw US teen Christian Pulisic made his debut today at just 17 years. He could be a star in a few years. Technically very gifted player. Fit right in.

Ok. Makes sense. Germany doesn't have a natural striker than? Like, Klose was the player that played in the World Cup but when subbed off Schurlle played in the centre.

They haven't been playing with a designated striker for the majority of games in the last 2 years. But nothing's set in stone really. Gomez and Volland are players who could get some playing time as a genuine No. 9. Gomez seems to be scoring a lot in Turkey. Volland is not playing his best season but he can play on the wings as well and is also a couple of years younger.

I've seen a couple of Germany games and why does Gotze play up top instead of Muller? Muller is a better striking option, isn't he?

Müller likes to come from a deeper position in order to roam into space in between the defenders. Götze is the technically more gifted player, so he's better taking on the ball while having a defender in his back and distributing it to the players in the line behind him (e.g. Müller, Özil...). Similar to drop passes in hockey.

I don't watch enough Bundesliga so this'll probably be pretty inaccurate

    Gotze
    Reus - Ozil - Muller
    Kroos - Khedira
    Hector - Boateng - Hummels - Ginter
    Neuer

The rest: Trapp, Leno, Schmelzer, Howedes, Mustafi, Schweinsteiger, Gundogan, Kramer, Volland, Draxler, Bellarabi, Sane

Maybe Gomez due to his ridiculous goal/game ratio and Grosskreutz for utility.

Löw is not a big fan of Schmelzer. Don't think he's gonna be there. Maybe Durm instead. Question marks: Höwedes, Schweinsteiger, Kramer, Draxler, Bellarabi, Kramer. Haven't been playing that well lately. Großkreutz is out for good. Löw was pretty much making fun of his career decisions at a press conference a couple of days ago. Podolski is gonna be there. Only Löw knows why. Has been playing bad for us for years. Schürrle might be in as well. Has been playing sh!t the last 2 seasons but for some reason he's one of Löws favourites.

Löw already gave out a list containing players he considers for the Euro at this moment. Some pretty ridiculous names there:
