Swing for the fences GMJB....I don't care how or what picks/players (excluding #43, 40, 53, and 6), need to be traded but get that number one from NJ.
I'd like to see an epic Burky type move on the home court draft.
We would almost certainly have to give up one of Q.Hughes, Horvat, Petey, or Boeser to move up to #1

I like the look of your lines, very realistic opening night roster
Virtanen, Horvat, Boeser
Baer, Pettersson, Eriksson
Roussel, Sutter, Granlund
Schaller, Beagle, Gagner
Archibald
First injury call up depending on if it's for bottom 6 or top 6: Gaudette/Dahlen

This is probably the most realistic lineup. I wonder how many goals this lineup would score (if Eriksson remains terrible)? The offense basically would come from Horvat, Boeser, Baer and Pettersson. Virtanen/Hughes are also possibilities.

A weird pick but 6th round so honestly it doesn't matter. Might as well swing for the fences.

Hello...McFly...It's the Sabres... that's why!!!
Our guy, like Pettersson last draft, will turn out to be better.
Go Bo Go!!!!
Last year was completely different circumstances. There was no consensus #1.
Dahlin wayyyy better than any other D man in this draft. You are too optimistic lol

I wouldn't make that proposed trade (neither would the Sabres) even if it was Elias and switching picks with them. I think the Dman we get at 7 (hoping for Hughs or Boquist) might - in 3 or 4 seasons - be better than Dahlin.
Lol you wouldn't dare say this if we landed the #1 pick. There's a reason that Dahlin is the first consensus #1 pick D man in a long time. Why the hell would Dahlin be ranked first in every single scouting service if Hughes or Boqvist will eclipse him in 3 or 4 seasons??

Man that’s disappointing. Hope this fires him up and comes to training camp ready to go. We need Olli to be that top 4 D.
Hutton, Stecher, Guddy, MDZ, Edler, Tanev, Biega, are all under contract. So unless we make a trade OJ will really need to show up for camp to earn himself a spot

JB should be moved to head scout. He has very good scouting ability as you have shown.

How do you handcuff a team if you leave 1/2 the league open? A handcuff is what Kesler did. Loui's clause can barely be considered a tissue wrap in comparison.
If he picked teams that couldn't afford him or clearly didn't have a need for forwards to not put on his list it would make it real hard for Jimbo to trade him. Not impossible. But hard.

He is an above average skater, yes he is. He makes great outlet passes, have you keyed in on him during a game? One of the reasons he worked with Sedins on big ice was same reason he didn't as well on NA surface. As for the contract, his NM clauses expire before his contract does so if he really is as bad as you say he is, he won't be around for the entire contract.
Again, I disagree with your perspective on him but that is fine as you mutually do same to what I see. I think he remains an effective NHL player, you don't. World continues to spin.
He has to submit a 15-team no trade clause for the last 2 years. All he has to do is pick his teams right and it'll handcuff the Canucks in terms of trading him.

What does any of that have to do with Boeser?
You make an absurd leap from working on a trade to assuming he offered the Boeser pick?
That's not a source - it's a blind assumption with literally no credibility.
You have no idea what the substance of those negotiations were. For all you know he offered Kevin Bieksa - who was actually otb - and Linden Vey. Attempting to link that tweet to Boeser is laughable. You're the one who should give it up - you have nothing there.
It's really not that hard.
Lucic went for a top defensive prospect and a 13th overall pick.
Benning was quoted on saying he was "working hard an in on the deal for Lucic".
He had to have offered something comparable to be in on the deal.
If you think Bieksa and Vey is comparable to a top D prospect and the 13th overall pick then you don't know anything about hockey my friend.
