I dream that Linden somehow comes back into the fold and we win the Stanley Cup led by our current core.  He, the Sedins and Smyl come down from the management suite and finally lift the cup together correcting all 3 cup loses in one swoop.

This would be fantastic and Klim scores the clinching goal just like he predicted

The home is under the New Home Warranty so the deficiencies are all covered, i.e. we can trade the parts we don't need for different parts that fit.  In terms of affordability, we took out a mortgage before the home was built and locked in the rate for 5 years, i.e. we have a salary cap that covers all the expenses that the owner has to pay, so if our construction management team is capable (JR/PA) they should be able to pay the monthly payments and the taxes and insurance.

The quality of the materials is always going to need to stand up too the scrutiny of the harsh winters we now have in Vancouver.  That's why we brought in the new construction team, to assess whether the materials used will hold up over the course of the next few winter seasons.  Hopefully after their assessment they give the green light to keep what we have and just deal with the small deficiencies that are needed to keep the house in great shape for the long term.

True story - we had a condo covered by New Home Warranty.  We sold it just before the "Condo crisis" hit in the mid to late 90s.  New Home Warranty paid 50% of the costs for a few months and then declared bankruptcy, the new owners were left all on their own.

JR & PA were right some how they need to free up some cap space & improve the team at the same time. Trading Travis H & getting Travis D was a very small example of that but I don't know how they can move some big (overpaid) contacts they have on the books.
