I was agreeing with most of you guys that Green should switch those two up, but this article made me kind of change my mind. Sure he's missed some shots, but he's also been getting unlucky that his shots and passes aren't finding the back of the net.

Is it just me or would anyone else want to see Leipsic and Roussel switch roles? Roussel is fast and can keep up with EP and Goldy while also being their protector since they are the two smallest guys on the team. Meanwhile, Leipsic has shown that he can be put in a shutdown role as well and last time he was put in a more offensive role he gave the puck away for odd man rushes.

Thing is what can you do to shut him down? If you double team him, he's sure to find the open man. If you cover his linemates he can go around the one guy on him, or get a laser shot away.

I heard on Donnie and the Moj that Boeser won't be playing tomorrow against Detroit. I tried to look it up but couldn't find anything. Could someone confirm?

Well, he is saying Pettersson will be better than McDavid so yes, I think he believes it. For me, I'm not going that far yet. I'd rather watch and enjoy the ride than make bold predictions.

Disappointed if it is less than 5. There's a difference between this and say a Wilson hit. Wilson's hits don't usually look premeditated and he sometimes catches the player in the head. They aren't malicious...but I agree they should be suspendable. This play on Pettersson though was straight malicious and intent to injure. This type of play should be handed the most serious suspension. In the court system, there is mens rea and actus reus. Wilson has the actus reus but not necessarily the mens rea...Matheson has both and therefore should be considered way more serious.

Actually 3 points were power play and 3 were 5 on 5. Canucks have 4 power play goals, only one of which Pettersson has not gotten a point.

Watching this preseason game just reminds me and probably everyone of how important Bo is to have in the lineup. It reminds me of last year when he was injured for two months. It's been such a scrappy game, and there is noone on the team, except EP (although definitely not as strong 5 v 5), who can drive the play at all. It makes it a scrappy ping pong match which is hardly watchable and almost impossible to score. The two preseason games Bo was in, I didn't think that at all because he was able to keep driving the play and that made it more fun to watch. Oh how I hope he doesn't get injured this year.

Looks like Pettersson will be the rookie this year that'll be called Captain Second Assist. I wouldn't be opposed to having him be as good as Barzal last year though.
