[At what point do the players give up on the franchise?]

1. Fire Green to start with. 
2. Make Stan Smyl  temp GM.
3. Move Benning to Scouting.
4. Move Shaw to Coach

• If by the trade deadline the team is not preforming . Trade the Following players Horvat, Miller, Boeser , Motte , and Hoglander. Get some size in the bottom 6 that can play. Stock up with Draft picks and  prospects . 
• reset and start with a new GM and he can hire a new coach to start next year

First of all Benning should of Traded Demco for a stud Dman. or prospect, Edmonton would have given up Broberg or Detroit, Seider . Benning could have kept Tanev, Markstrom ,and  Toffoli . The result would be way different now

Constructs a winning team built with winning players. The coach must be able to handle winning, harder to win easier to lose. Hire the Hunter's Mark and Dale , Mark was in line for the Leaf GM Job he served as a assistant GM and they hired Kyle Dubas . Mark Hunter has coached as well as Dale

It's a huge commitment.  This season is already a wash anyways, may as well let these guys finish the season and hire new guys in the summer for a fresh start. JB screwed this team Tanev , Markstrom , Toffoli, Edler not Signed . That hurt the team more than anything . A lot of leadership lost.

I agree Benning screwed up the team after the Bubble season.

 

• Did not sign Tanev there best D man and a leader in the room well respected.
• Did not sign Markstrom , Best goalie and a leader in the room good friends with Pettersson . could be major factor in his play so far.
• Did not sign Toffoli . Well liked in the room . a play driver
• Not resigning Edler another leader ,could have been a bottom pairing deman .

We seen this last year and now this year the team has no soul.

You are not getting any changes the are going to play the season as is . Draft and repeat , They will draft around 5 to 8  and Draft a deman . Next year they will start over with the same coaches and players .Maybe adding a new D man.

He should have kept Markstrom Tanev and Toffoli, traded Demco for a top 4 deman . Jake could have been traded as well. The return on Demco and Jake would have been very good. But no look where we are now.
