Hopefully in the next 24-48 hours there will be an official thread and dates set for the fantasy draft. ONLY 5 spots left to fill!!! Draft will start 24-72 hours after the league fills. I will tag all GMs with a notice when that time comes. Small changes may be made before the official launch of GFL, however for now the fantasy draft is shaping up to look like so... DRAFT RULES Rounds: 40 Max 22/23 prospects: 15 Pick Time Limit: 12 hours (at first) No trading draft picks Can only select 1 prospect from the 22/23 NHL draft in the first 10 rounds, and 5 in the first 20. Must reach cap floor, but remain under the salary cap by end of the draft. Any missed pick can be made up at any time. However the team will face a level 1 penalty for missing the pick. Missing consecutive picks may result in termination, and the exec group finishing the draft for the team if need be. If you are likely to miss an upcoming pick feel free to send me a list so you can avoid being skipped, and facing potential termination. Keep in mind tenure matters in this league. So the faster you make your pick the earlier the players earn tenure (days) that will count towards your teams morale.. You can also name your captain the moment you select them to get their tenure off to an early start!

CBA is pretty much finished. Unofficial one is posted in the 2nd comment. It was kind of rushed to try and get it out to you guys to help you draft prep. So it's not "official" as I have to go over everything and make sure I have everything as intended before making it "official" for the season. Any questions LMK

No, we will be playing in the playoffs as well. You just need to make sure you have players from teams in the real life playoffs to accumulate. TDL is usually pretty big in these leagues. All the playoff bound teams trying to outbid eachother for playoff assets.

Yes we will be basing deals off of capfriendly. Unfortunately the masterlist I created didn't come from cap friendly, so if you're using that list make sure you double check contract info is correct before making a selection

Will have 12 hour limits on picks.. This way people shouldn't sleep through their limit. The faster you pick after being tagged the faster the draft will go. If too many people take up too much of their 12 hour window we may have to significantly reduce the time limits leading up to the season opener. The faster we fill these 8 spots and get the draft going the better off we'll be. If all goes well the team sheets and CBA will both be done by end of tomorrow. If that happens we can begin drafting almost immediately. I will tag everyone with atleast 24 hour notice prior to the start of the draft. Be ready guys. These 8 spots could fill up any day now! Apologies for the delay in the CBA guys. Been putting a lot of time into the team morale system, and since doing so I've learned so many new things with Google sheets it has forced me to go back and fix up the teamsheets. Barring any interruptions along the way I'm hoping to have everything done over the next few days. I know some of you are patiently waiting for the release of the CBA to help prepare draft lists. I promise the wait won't be for nothing. There are a lot of fun new fantasy features coming to CDCGFL. Team Morale being the biggest of them all, but there's also going to be some fun tweaks to the financials system, and team captain's are going to play a role in everything as well. Hopefully I'll have everything done in the next 2-3 days, and if league is filled up I can set some dates on things such as the draft!

On android I just have to copy the spreadsheet and paste it to the forum. As long as I don't hit "paste as plain teaxt" it'll paste like you took it right off the spreadsheet

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The new "Team Morale" function will be implemented right out of the gate. However the agents will NOT use it as reference until the beginning of year 2. I want to see the system in live use to see how it works over the course of a season. Making the needed adjustments as I see fit along the way. The 2 drafts will be combined. This format is not set in stone yet, but is very likely the way it ends up. If not this, something very similar. 40 Round Draft: Snake draft 12hr time limit starting out. Will shorten as season opener approaches (if league fills by then). Max of 10-15 total prospects from 2022 or 2023 NHL drafts. Max of 1 in first 10 rounds, and 3 in first 20 rounds. Teams must reach Cap floor and remain under the salary cap Teams are strongly encouraged to.make selections in a timely manner to save everyone from.needing to rush their picks later. Draft picks cannot be traded, so there is no need for trade discussions during your time limit. Draft order will be randomized live on discord by a volunteer GM

Team sheets are being fixed up to account for the new team morale feature, among a couple other things. CBA is about 75% done as well. With just 9 sots left available it shouldn't be much longer before we start selecting our players! Better get in now before it's too late!

NEW FEATURE COMING TO CDCGFL? Currently working on a cool new team morale feature. If I can find the right formula, and get everything to calculate properly this could be a huge feature used in determining free agency decisions! Things that play a factor in your teams morale are... Players tenure with team, PR budget, Total salary spent on players, and seeding. The CBA has been put on the back burner while I try and get the right formula together for this new system. However, I feel like I'm close to a finished product now. So hopefully the CBA will still be done in the next 24 hours. Already made solid progress on it to this point.
