  1. Over and above those three videos that were released were some very interesting other UFO appearances including the Phoenix lights and the giant UFO seen by the Japanese airlines pilot up near Alaska.

The Phoenix Lights was supposedly a giant V shaped object seen by thousands of people. The Arizona Governor tried to make fun of those that saw it because he was so deep into the "ridicule UFO sightings" thing that was around from the 50s until 2000 or so.That attitude is slowing going away. The Governor later came out to confirm he saw it to but was too scared to say so 20 years previous so he made fun of others.

I think the next 10 years, for anyone interested in this phenomenon, will be very interesting.

There are a few results which show optical illusion, birds, exhaust etc, but what I can't get past is that we have trained pilots which recount much more of the the situation than just the video clips and we also have the pentagon which would easily attach themselves to that message if it was even 80% true.  The fact that they came out and said, "dunno what that is" speaks volumes on the results.  Plus they had 16 years in some of the cases to conclude that.  Seems a bit suspect that they didn't come to the same conclusion in that case.

One of those Navy pilots, the one with the aeronautical engineering degree, says he doesn't know what they were. He pretty much says they are from another world/time/dimension but doesn't.  Very competent person. His buddy described the one that blew through the middle of the two jets flying together as a cube inside a sphere.

I highly doubt the Americans, Russians, or Chinese can build those but who knows for sure.

Confirmed deaths: 243,540. Confirmed cases: 3,525,116. The bodies are not piling up as fast mostly due to under reporting and self quarantine efforts.

Expect to see problems like spectator sports and more large groups become a thing of the past.

Hockey will probably change to be more of a televised sport with a lot less cash coming in.

    Highly doubtful.

Hockey will be back once this has gone through another wave. No need to type stuff based on absolutely nothing.

Can't wait to get to my next Canuck game!!

  5. Personally I find it odd that the giant Asian "Murder Hornets" are getting more media time than a whole bunch of armed forces pilots seeing UFOs including an aerospace engineer pilot who says these objects are being intelligently controlled and there is no way it is man made.

    Very strange lol.

Although, maybe it is like my wife says. Everybody has so much going on in their lives (kids, dogs, covid, financial pressures, etc etc) that she does not have time (or does not want to) think about alien life actually being on this planet.

For those interested go watch "Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation".  Fascinating imo.

A life sentence is pretty much a life sentence there......unlike in this country.  I'm against the death penalty but feel a life sentence should be exactly that.

    I could not agree more.

Weak cdn judges think a life sentence is 5 years. Pathetic....

Im confident that Tryamkin will prove to be a better and healthier player than Tanev ever was.

I hope you’re right. Being healthier than Tanev is a pretty low bar to clear, but being better? In his prime, a healthy Chris Tanev was a top-10 defensive Dman in the NHL. I’d love to see Tryamkin reach that level of effectiveness. Fingers crossed, but that’s a pretty lofty expectation.

Hahaha....yeah.  SID is once again correct.

I have no problem with that. I just want to see a simple list of what you own in an RCMP database. I don't think thats too much to ask to go online, input your PAL # and write in what you own, if the balance is you get to be a collector. Or have the gun store owner do it for you at the time of purchase.

If we're talking about bringing in actual controls to our gun laws, that means we need to be able to close the loop on sales. You can't know fully where all illegal guns are coming from without it.

Yeah..and some posters may want to see what weird play toys you own? Or what internet sites you visit....etc etc.

You can say close the loop all you want when the sentences you say them in don't even make sense.

Oh..and by the way...the FOIPPA protects your privacy so no....you can't just go online and see whatever anyone else is doing. Your arguments are ridiculous.

  9. 9 hours ago, Jimmy McGill said:

So is the idea that handguns also be stored at a range that far off?  e.g., it closes the loop on theft, people using at home on their spouses, etc. and as you point out its the only place they're supposed to be used anyway.

    Uh....how?

You know business Break and Enters are through the roof right now with all normal people staying home and just the criminals are out.

    Come on....:picard:

If wearing an ordinary mask (not the in hospital type of mask) is more for the safety of others than for yourself, then if someone had a mask that had written "I am wearing this mask for YOUR safety" on it, then it might shame others into wearing a mask too.

"Shaming" others is a weak approach to dealing with an issue. It has also proven over and over to be ineffective.

    So....no thanks.

He'd really have to be lights out in the camp and preseaon, unless of course a trade happens (ie: Sutter), I think management would probably want him getting top end minutes with the Comets where he'd probably be 1st 2nd line, and get used to the NA game. Leivo sucks, he's as good as gone. Motte is probably a mainstay in our 4th line, the guy is terrific and comes with a very cheap price tag for what he does

Didn't Hoglander already say he will play in Sweden if he does not make the Canucks?

Trudeau did not in fact pass this during the shut down.  He actually did it last week after the house was sitting.  The motion in which he did was the shady part, but only in terminology as once you read up what has to happen to pass this bill you realize it will not happen, like at all.

I have read the list.  A large number of weapons on there, effectively about 80% are more status items than real hunting tools.  I remember seeing a video about a guy in Alberta who was actually hunting bears with a spear.  A frigging spear.  Said it was far more sporting.  You only need one well placed bullet to take down most game, you only need 1 high powered bullet to take down large game.  A single deer can keep a family in meat for a month or more.

I for one gave up a rifle recently, sold it and transferred it back to a sporting store in town here.  Was a nightmare of paperwork because it was a store not a PAL licensed individual.  I still own two rifles.  I can still hunt.  My weapons are not on the prohibited list at all.

I just don't see the huge uproar myself.  I agree it won't help curb gun violence the way they claim.  But at days end less available guns is less available guns and in my opinion if the loss of a status weapon over a hunting tool is the biggest gripe people have than that's kind of showing that maybe the idea of them not owning said status weapon isn't the worst idea.

So it is clear you don't know anything about human rights issues in Canada nor personal property rights in Canada.

    Good job.

  13. Common sense from a politician below. Almost unheard of.

“The Government of Alberta is concerned about all crime, including the illegal use of firearms. Today’s order by Ottawa does little to target criminals. Instead, Ottawa is singling out law-abiding Canadians who purchased their property legally, have owned these items safely for years, and who have committed no crimes,” stated Alberta Premier Jason Kenney.
“We know that the overwhelming majority of firearms used criminally in Canada are smuggled in illegally from the United States. Instead of addressing this, Ottawa will instead spend vast sums of money to criminalize law-abiding Canadians. That money would be far better used to pursue the smugglers and drug gangs that plague our society,” added Kenney.
“We also know that violent criminals who use guns are often released with surprisingly soft sentences. Rather than focus on law-abiding Canadians, we’d call on Parliament to bring back tough, mandatory sentences for the criminals who flagrantly endanger Canadians with their use of illegal guns,” implored Alberta Justice Minister Doug Schweitzer.
In November 2019, the Alberta legislature unanimously passed Government Motion 41, which stated:
“Be it resolved that the Legislative Assembly recognize and support the ability of Albertans to lawfully and in a responsible manner own and possess firearms and to engage in permitted activities involving the use of firearms, including but not limited to hunting and sport shooting.”
“The Government of Alberta will scrutinize today’s move by Ottawa and explore potential responses through this lens,” said Schweitzer.
“In response to today’s announcement from Ottawa, our government is actively considering appointing Alberta’s own chief firearms officer (CFO) to replace the CFO appointed by Ottawa,” concluded Kenney.

Sure it is, and like I said, society has deemed this to be too dangerous just as it has a myriad of other things.

I don't get why you'd even want this much less need it. Shooting a metal plate 5 times sounds pointless to me. But if you want to do that, great. In an appropriate, safe place. Just like if I want to go racing cars I go to the track where it's a safe environment and not on the streets where it's illegal.

Serious question.  What are your hobbies?
