Just Studnicka?
Someone else will be taking a roster spot too no?
Pearson close?
I think Dermott, and Poolman is working out again too.

I think it would take a Garland or Boeser.
The only caveat to what Kypreos is saying though is that NSH is just one potential dman injury away from actually really needing Fabbro in their lineup.
Think it's a long shot but worth checking in if true.
Yes, although Fabrro's the most likely of their D men to get injured!

Boston's jersey is a throw back, but Pittsburgh's is just a throw out!

It's kind of sad when you look at this group and the only Canucks drafted players are Lockwood, Brisebois, Woo, Gatcomb, and Silovs lol.
Unfotuanately, it's worse than you think, they didn't even draft Gatcomb!

It feels like Brock's rookie season was nothing more but a big bold-faced lie. His Mike Bossy-like shot is long-gone and it looks like it will never ever return.
Ever since he had that off season wrist injury, I believe after his first season, his shot has never been the same. It's still hard, but his accuracy has just become abyssmal.

I think this was probably discussed at the draft and is just rehashed reporting.
Zaitsev is AHL bound, barring any further injuries on OTT D.
Makes no sense for us to deal out right now when we could do this kind of deal with Myers around the deadline with relative ease, imho
Unless they want the cap space for another deal now.

Either he's got a new leak source in the organization (and soon some more "whack-a-mole") or he's just tossing faeces at the wall to see what will stick.
I'm thinking it's the latter, given how tight-lipped the organization has been before the recent moves they've made.
Or he's hearing things out of Columbus.

He's been pretty damn quiet given he's the GM
Probably spending all his time trying to find teams with cap space to trade with.

Bear was not replaced by Chatfield. He was pushed out of the line up, because of Burns and Pacioretty soon to be cap hit off of LTIR.
.....not to mention his slow recovery from COVID, the rumour that Brindamour thought he still wasn't back in shape and Friedman's nugget that he asked for a trade last Summer.

I mean #9 didn't look great before Miller arrived. Prust, Kassian and Hodgson prior?
Well I thought it looked good on Don Lever, Ivan Boldirev & Tony Tanti!

It's gotta be the "big" announcement re: Bieksa signing his one game contract.
-
I see that Karel Plasek was officially activated from LTIR on October 20th, but he's still not appearing on the Abby roster. What's happening with this guy? I think he's also officially become our International Man of Mystery.

Based on comments I've seen from Canes fans, this deal is a cap dump. They now have $8.6M in free cap space which they'll need when Pacioretty comes back
I'm sure that's partly true, but it doesn't explain why they didn't play him in a single game this season. I think Friedman's scoop that he requested a trade this summer is probably ithe other part of the explanation. And that part might hurt too much for 'Canes fans to mention.

I'm actually happy to see some internal competition for spots in Abby. It's going to help keep any of the players, especially the younger ones, from feeling entitled to a spot.

Sheldon Dries played really well the last two games.
It looks like he finally has confidence. Probably that together with a determination to do all he can to stick with the big club this time, especially knowing Studnicka is coming in.

Using your logic then, why did the Bruins 'sell low'? Dipietro has some question marks, and Myrenberg is apparently sooooo unknown.
There's obviously a reason why the Bruins targeted Myrenberg and why they dumped Studnicka.
The Bruins have little to nothing in the way of solid goalie prospects. They needed Dipietro more than we do, but as you say, he has some question marks. I'm pretty sure that's why they asked for something else to be thrown into the deal. They clearly didn't get another one of our top prospects, but they did at least get something.

In their 2021 Future Watch edition, THN had Studnicka rated as the 41st best prospect in the NHL, just ahead of names like Shane Pinto, Samuel Poulin, Thomas Bjornfot, Rasmus Sandin, etc. Myrenberg has never even made it into the Canucks' top 10 prospect ratings. I have to think there's nowhere else in the league where Myrenberg would be thought of as being a prospect anywhere near the same level as Studnicka, except on CDC.

I just hope Allvin & Rutherford push hard to make Arizona accept Dipietro as the third piece in the Horvat & Rathbone+ for Chychrun deal!

I checked out Stralman's salary on Capfriendly (1 million BTW) and saw that he's listed as being 5"11" and 186 lbs. That's all I needed to see to convince me that we're taking him! Burroughs has just been playing too rough lately -- he's gotta come out of the lineup!
