JB must has a secret tape on Francisco. Maybe the latter likes the pain of losing cause he hasn’t had enough after 7 years of it. Go Nucks Go!!

Ian has leverage for all his years of good work and the rep he’s build...he should go get paid and try to get on a team with a chance for a ring to pad his creds even more..it’ll be a dumpster fire in vancity at least for a couple of years (at best, if you trust Benning’s estimate) and at worst a few more years of this mediocrity

They owe you nothing.
This post is exactly what’s wrong with the kids these days.
I want I want I want. Gimme gimme gimme.
They don’t owe you a thing.
And what benefit to the club would there be for telling the entire league their ‘plan’?
The year sucked. Big whoop.
Shortened season. Insane schedule. The whole team got covid. We played half the year without our best player.
The year was a wash.
The only part that really sucks was the wins at the end of the year that took us from top 4 to 9.So you are saying we can’t even lose properly? Maybe we can tick that box next year!

Typical of Nucks’ management to reward a losing culture. If Green gets a contract based on his record, all his assistants will also expect new contracts I suppose

The previous game there were comments along the line of, "This team sucks because they are trying to win rather than losing to support the tank."
This game, "Damn, this team sucks because they aren't losing the right way..."
regards, G.
Dear G, you might appreciate the sarcasm if you’ve hear any of green’s post game excuses.

Man... not sure what Green can do here - the good players are being forced to play meaningless games during the playoffs. The kids / fringe guys are trying but they are what they are. Give em a break.
Last time I checked a coach does more then stand behind the bench. Being outplayed is a theme with green. As for the kids...this is there break to show up and play. If they cant play in a zero pressure game, when do you think they will show up? Yes the good players are being forced to play a meaningless game as much as they have been forced to take their $$$ game checks.

There is tanking then there is tanking the right way...green failed yet again.
if we are going to get crushed how about a few punishing hits or slaps on the wrists to make them earn it?

is that a new offensive strategy for nucks to slow walk it into the zone and hope the opponent falls asleep?

myers playing like he's still on the jets' roster

playing for a high draft pick...way to go boys!

one thing nice with the Nucks missing the playoffs...no reason to listen to Hirsch talk

I'm surprised the refs were able to keep their cool and not react like a certain national broadcaster
they are scrambling to get a certain Oilman to autograph his jock strap for their kids to worship

Meh. They still had to play the games and get the points. They played against some bad teams. Who cares if they were in our division or not.
yeah who cares

i haven't seen many other teams, actually no other teams, where the D-zone strategy is to stand around and watch the other team pass the puck around.
-
Relying on Myers to carry the puck into the O-zone....sad state of affairs

Does it matter? How many points did the Sedins get from the AHL oilers?
a point is a point and He’s got 100 of them
yes but the sedins certainly didn't play only against the same 6 teams over 56 games

Is he really a terrible person though?
or is he just a competitive professional athlete?I get it, if he was on our team we would love him, but he’s not so we hate him.
But let’s give him props.
100 points is just incredible in so few games.but he must have gotten 30 of those points against the nucks, at best, an AHL calibre team

Hah. As long as Benning is at the helm, get used to waiver pick ups and over payments for aging vets.
don't think benning should get any special treatment...his record with the nucks speaks for itself

lightning/panthers game, we need to get some of those type of players

hope nucks ownership is planning for a shake up in the off-season
[Report] Canucks sign Travis Green to contract extension

Note that I said culture and not record so cool you heels. 4 yrs under Green and only one of them yields a winning record. Cumulatively, a losing record. So while you want to push aside this year as an abnormality, he’s still a losing coach. If he’s great at developing players, that’s great make him the AHL coach so he can do his thing. This is the professional league where winning is job 1.
