Something is still wrong with Pettersson. I just wish I knew what could have possibly happened to him. How do you lose that level of talent and explosiveness. If he's mentally broken over the offseason where we lost Markstrom, Tanev and Toffoli then I'm honestly in favour of trading the guy. Clearly he needs to grow the &^@# up. That being said, I'm not convinced that's it, luckily.

So from what I'm reading the Canucks indeed already look like a new team. Obviously everything is not going to get better overnight but I wanted to see if players individually looked like that proverbial cloud had been lifted. Seems like that's the case. Wish I could be watching but I don't regret not having cable.

Yeah no kidding. Hopefully it's just a bandaid group to get the team through the rest of the season, and it sounds like it's exactly that.

Yeah that would suck. I mean, want to cement everything Benning did as a 100% failure? Do that. Which obviously wouldn't be good for anyone. it would be out of spite and represents the antithesis of what people claim to want: responsible, smart management. The fact is there is a really talented core in place. A scorched earth rebuild is NOT what's needed here.

One thing's for sure: the players need to figure it out. Aquaman cleaned house, it's on them now. If there are still issues then some of them will be the next to go. I like the group we have so I sincerely hope the toxicity and whatever has ailed that lockerroom came down to the off ice staff.

True, the powerplay time for the Penguins is part of the shot disparity but the scoring chances and shots for the Canucks were still lacking before that last run of penalties.

The penalties were obviously a joke but it's not the story here for me. Even if it was still 1-1, the story for me is shots 33-13. I'm soooo sick of whatever passes for coaching and systems in Vancouver. I believe in (most of) this roster. For God's sake let's find some new off ice blood to steer the ship properly!

The players on this team are not THIS bad. I'm not letting them all off the hook here, just saying this roster doesn't match the results. How Aquaman can be fine with this and not making ANY off ice changes is revolting.

Living in Edmonton with no cable and relying on the radio feed is.....not ideal. Sounds like a decent game!
