I don’t understand why the appetite for giving up picks now for players. The Canucks need prospects. What has happened with all the draft picks that have been forfeited for so called talent. The Canucks should never have given up the Horvat 1st rounder. They should have picked with it. The Canucks will never get close enough to sniff Lord’s Stanley’s Cup under this ownership. Everything that is happening to the Canucks is because Nobody listened to Linden. I am not saying that Linden was the total answer. But he knew the team had to be rebuilt. Aqualini wanted to take a shortcut. And this what passionate Canuck Fans and their hard earned money have received. This ownership has no respect for its fanbase. He is a coward who hides behind his mommy’s apron when things that he is responsible for goes wrong. He may own the team but he has also a responsibility to the team’s fans who support the team by buying tickets and merchandise. If Aqualini can’t treat a very loyal fan base with more respect, then he should sell the team.

I thought of a similar trade. Only I was thinking BB for Lafreniere. They might take bauvillier with BB for Lafreniere. He Is a number pick and still very young. NY is in a Win now mode. since he was drafted as a Centre. Put him in Abby for a year. Let him get his confidence back. Put Lafreniere as 3C the next year If he gets his mojo back. Put him 2C. Move Miller to the wing.

Here is a bold move. Dempko to Philly for Carter Hart, Tanner Laczynski and a second rounder. I know Laczynski is coming 2 hip surgery in two years, but his face off % was pretty good, over 51% this past season. A fourth liner. Face off specialist, ala Manny Maholtra. Contract very affordable. Low risk high reward. Hart is younger than Dempko, and is a RFA. Yes with arb rights. But there is still some control. Maybe under a more stable regime, he could work out. He is a pretty good NHL caliber goalie. Philly gets an asset they can flip for good pieces. Trade Boeser for Lafrenière. Our third line center maybe second line later on. NYR are in a win now scenario. Lafrenière Has not worked out for the NYR.
