  1. lol, there are a lot of contradictions. I haven't seen When Hockey came to Belfast, I do remember seeing a couple of the guys on After hours when it first came out. Now I'm going to have to find it. the term Prairie Oyster makes me laugh. every time. The band used to get lots of plays on local radio out here maybe 15-20 years ago.
  2. I'm not all proud English, 1/4 maybe. But 1/2 Irish just with tragic family connections to the troubles and the IRA. They shattered my family with their bullets. At the same time there is no doubt that the English were (and depending who you ask, still are) terrible to the Irish. This is what I'm listening to
  3. yeah, I had to google to find out who wrote the music, I knew it sounded familiar just couldn't place it. Then I find Bobby Sands wrote the lyrics, gives me mixed feelings on that. like the song you posted, but I would say the instruments at the top of my list to learn are fiddle and bagpipes. This video is super cheesy but this is my favourite polka. I love dancing to polka, it's just so fun. It seems this only happens at weddings though.
  4. Bobby Sands wrote the lyrics. What I'm listening to these days... love this show and am going to miss it so much http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMDkMSyfl00 my fave part of the soundtrack from this movie
  5. Ok I'll post a WHL goalie next time for now, have a guess at this
  6. glenn healy edit: side question, can we post goalies from the dub or euro teams?
  7. no, no, no, You're in the wrong decade.
  8. nope. hint #2: he was a starter for a few years (edit: for the habs)
  9. nope nope hint: he played for the habs before Gary Bauman.
  10. give me a min the best pic I can find is a hockey card, so I gotta take the name off. ok here it is.
  11. Can't believe it's 8 years ago today Joe died.
  12. Yeah the back half is pretty good, I like Destroya, Vampire money and na na na the most. There's this 70's vibe to most of the songs, I think it would fit with Life on Mars and Gene Hunt kicking in doors and the like. Frank is grand, leathermouth are good. this is what I'm listening to now.
  13. because of this I've spent a considerable part of the day listening to this, and the rest of the album. Probably one of their better albums.
  14. The girl in this song was murdered not long after Johnny Cash 1st preformed it (in Saskatoon), and apparently he never played it after he found out.
  15. AC/DC- you shook me all night long. (I don't know how to make a lightning bolt slash. ) This is an amazing video, some great memories and some stuff that happened before I was born but, all of it awesome-well minus the one second they show MM11-yuck.
  16. It's been snowing and blowing here all day. drifts all over the place. it is nice and sparkley though (Saskatoon)
  17. Love the the chorus of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2nPHbogLE0 waring: the video gets a bit strobe-y at the end, incase that stuff a/effects you.
